  1. He clearly is desperate to avoid it coming to a vote on stopping no-deal. If the opposition get control of business, the vote will happen and Johnson will probably lose, forcing him to be blatant about ignoring it. So I'm guessing that if the vote on control of business is lost, he'll immediately move to try to get a GE. I seriously hope he can't get the 2/3 majority. If he succeeds, probably on the basis of a promised date in October, I'd fully expect the lying, devious PM that he is to postpone the election until November. No Government, no way to stop no deal. 2. That is a distinct possibility. Get parliament dissolved on the basis of a promised election date before 31st Oct, then renege on the date and go for November, meaning no mechanism whatsoever in place to stop a no-deal. He's bloody-minded enough to do it and, unless there are absolute guarantees that the date will be in October, which I don't think there can be, it's a trap and the Opposition should not vote for dissolution. He needs a 2/3 majority. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. Having little to do. On another tack, Steve Davis playing well. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. Most of it has been said, but FWIW a few thoughts now I've recovered from a great day spoiled only by moronic MU fans on the way home. They can't accept their team is no longer good, and get very wound up when opposing fans suggest that and refuse to worship their heros. Rant over. Great point in the end and I think we were getting stronger after our goal and might have won with 11 men. Danso's red was harsh as the first yellow was very soft. But then the second could have been close to a straight red. He played well and is going to be a great asset. Versatile too. Vestergaard and Bednarek looking like they could be a CB pairing. Both excellent and probably Vestergaard's best game yet. Cedric had a pretty good game. Done gave blamed him for the goal but he had little support and had to choose between blocking James and tracking the outside runner. Romeu solid and I'm not sure I agree with others on Hojbjerg. Maybe not his best game but he put everything into it and is a leader on the pitch. Both he and JWP were criticised for losing the ball. Late in the game that happened through tiredness but earlier they were looking for the attacking pass, not the safe sideways and backwards one that used to be criticised so much under Puel et al. As WGS often said, you've got to be brave on the ball and you don't win matches by being safe. In Adams and Ings we've got two strikers badly in need of a goal. Ings was unlucky with a well-saved header and overall worked hard. Adams looks increasingly frustrated and is learning how much tougher it is at this level. He snatched at and sliced his best chance. But I'm hopeful that once he gets off the mark the goals will come. Boufal put in a good shift. One close chance. The organisation of the press is looking good. We won the ball several times not by all-out aggressive pressing, but by encouraging them to play out, carefully closing down options then pouncing on the loose pass or the player under pressure - the trigger. Huge shame that Redmond and Djenepo were both out. With either, I think we could have given them real problems and maybe got a win. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. Apparently big trouble on the 16:20 train to Manchester. Train held for 40 mi s at Banbury whilst police dealt with "serious antisocial behaviour" Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. Lot of police activity in town. Load of Mancs very loud before 10am Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  10. Surprised Smallbone didn't get time on Tuesday. Is he injured? I like N'Lundulu. Strong, pacy, eye for goal. A bit in the Lukaku mould. Or even better, a Lambert with pace. [emoji1] He could unsettle a defence. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. Exactly. Today and tomorrow, the ManU game is all that matters. Then until 20th Sept, the Bournemouth game. Then we can concentrate on thrashing the Skates. On the other hand, hopefully the excitement of playing a real club soon will finish off their already pathetic league form. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  12. Coming from Shropshire to London or Southampton I can always save by looking at different routes and splitting the journey. Recent trip to London on Virgin return, with Railcard, would have been £124. Three tickets - to Shrewsbury, then Birmingham, then Chiltern line to London was about an hour longer but cost £43. 13. Indeed, on Tuesday, as was posted an hour ago. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  16. I'd like to think that would work but I think he's still too much of a free spirit to be the lynchpin of the attack. If he has the ball, he can make things happen, or lose it, but patience and finding a killer ball are not his strong suits. Think we need Armstrong and/or JWP to be pulling the strings. 19. Haven't been to Notarfkrap for 50 years. Just might be tempted if security isn't too stupid. Or I'm declared too old. And I wear a replica shirt. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. I'd guess that leaves us with something like Gunn Valery Danso Bednarek Vestergaard/Yoshida Bertrand (?) Hojbjerg Romeu Boufal JWP Adams Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  23. Maybe it was more important to experiment with PEH at left back. He looked good there, at least defensively, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's used in that way again. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
