Danso is an awful FB. He's supposed to be a CB or DM. Maybe we'll see him play there one day. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

What's your best saints XI using players since our PL return
Shroppie replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
This wasn't a composite team. The actual line-up in 14-15. Wouldn't mind them back. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -
Unless something unexpected happens in the next few days, we're going to be into the interesting endgame. Can he force through no-deal? How? Various possibilities. He could request the extension but then refuse it. He could fix the EU to refuse to offer it, maybe. But he's insisted he won't even ask. Or hope someone else takes over, asks for the extension and can then be blamed. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

In theory that's a plan. But calling an election now could close down parliament down over 31st Oct and let no-deal through by default. And a GE doesn't answer the Brexit question as both leavers and remainers are spread across parties. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

The incessant repetition of "Get Brexit done" is just an indication of the Tories' desperation. It's not what the majority in the country want - "Get Brexit gone" is the reality. But the only way the Tories' can cling to power in the next election is to remove the Brexit Party's only reason for existing. Brexit is nothing to do with the well-being and future of Britain. It's about the survival of the Tory Party. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

This is the extremely worrying trend in politics. The likes of Johnson and co, who are obviously experts themselves (mainly in lying and manipulation) set themselves up as ordinary people against experts. This is a very simplistic but effective way of giving people an easy way out of actually having to think about an issue. "Get Brexit done" is a classic case. Don't think about the implications. Don't challenge the idea that it would be "done" once we crash out. Just be reassured that no thought is necessary, you're fed up of this Brexit business and want it over. In the last election the Tories "won" because they got most votes. So I presume you can't have another election with any other parties on the ballot paper You're admitting the only deal on offer is rubbish. But in rejecting it there must be an option of no deal or be Brexit. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Leicester showing how to play against ten men. Spread the ball wide, run at them, pace. But, to be fair, they're already winning and the ten men are Newcastle, not Spurs. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I go to most away games and support is generally good. Certainly better than at home. The ground makes a difference. You'll never get the singing heard at West Ham. Yesterday I think we had a lot of non-regular away fans sightseeing in the new stadium. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

If he wanted Bertrand to move to make a third CB Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Could be something in that, or a variation on that theme. Ralph has said that when he saw the Spurs line-up he wanted to switch to a back three. I assumed that Cedric pulled out then there was an opportunity to bring in a third CB, but maybe, as you say, Ralph wanted to fiddle with the shape of the named team. Bertrand would be the only CB option, meaning someone to slot in at LB. Cedric didn't look right there against Bournemouth. Could have used Hojbjerg, but that would weaken midfield and perhaps he said no, as well as Cedric. Pure speculation, but say JWP was prepared to play RB so a mystery withdrawal of Cedric was made to allow Vestergaard to come in. Could have done something similar losing Boufal, say, but I guess he didn't want to weaken the attacking options. Hope this wasn't the case as I would have thought it would get us in trouble. Strange, anyway. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I agree it didn't work. But if we'd stuck with a back four, we could equally well have been overrun by Kane, Son etc in the centre. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Not a lot to add really. I agree a huge opportunity lost through lack of incisiveness and finishing in the second half and a couple of brilliant saves from JWP and Yoshida after conceding two disappointing goals, although I'll concede they were well put together by Spurs. Many have said Valery should have come in once Cedric dropped out (before the warm-up, apparently). Thinking about it, and hearing Ralph's comments I can only conclude he was trying to take advantage of the situation. Team sheets are submitted without knowledge of the opposition side, but (and I need a forum rules expert here) I assume that in these circumstances a replacement is allowed. Deciding on the replacement, Ralph had seen Spurs' shape (which he said surprised him) and wanted to take the opportunity to play a third CB. But that meant JWP at RB as I assume he couldn't make other changes. It wasn't a total success, nor in my opinion was it a failure. Could have been very clever. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Looks like he may have a bit of a distraction to deal with. Not at all. By non -thinking I mean they readily lap up simplistic slogans and are very easily manipulated. I'm not "toxic or hateful" of Brexiteers. I'm not trying to invite violence - something they seem very prepared to resort to anyway. I just totally disagree with the idea that leaving the EU is in any way good for the UK. The referendum was won narrowly (and still a minority of the electorate) because people didn't question the lies of the Leave campaign. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -

Excellent post. Sad that the vast majority simply can't see Johnson's tactics are to portray himself as the people's friend fighting everyone else and encouraging hate of those opponents. His whole campaign is based on being the man who delivers the referendum result, no matter what the cost to the country and ignoring difficulties. Which of course appeals to your average non-thinking Brexiteer. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
