  1. I've watched the Barnes one several times now and, although I don't agree it was simulation I'm not totally sure it was a foul either. McCarthy dived to play the ball, Barnes pushed it past him, but out of control, then collided with McCarthy's legs. Contact, yes, and possibly a penalty but it's also arguably just a collision. 2. You clearly can't appreciate or understand what's going on during a football match so why don't you please just stick to your own team rather than making idiotic and ludicrous comments that bear no resemblance to what actually happened in the game. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. On my way home. Overall a good performance ruined by poor game management at the end. Long had the chance to boot a clearance into the corner but chose to try to get a free kick. We could have killed the game off there. Hard to say we were robbed, although Stephens was fouled before the pen, as the McCarthy incident was at least marginal. Disappointed that we lost two points but livid at Bournemouth at being so pathetic. We need a win next week. Who's playing up front? Forster? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. I can see no logic in that whatsoever. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. But he was also entitled to say that Crouch had both hands on Stephens' shoulders holding him down, which should have been a free kick. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. But if he'd been strong enough he'd have given us the free kick, which would have been correct. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  12. Panic move on a par with Carrillo to cover Zaha's suspension. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. Call me a cynic, but I'm not surprised an agent put the figure higher. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. Had an abdominal op. Arm was bandaged in the pic. Experts told me that was from the cannula for the anaesthesic. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. Not really. He was always going to miss that one for the two-yellows red. Now, if found guilty, he'll miss at least West Ham too. After that they've got Doncaster in the Cup then Leicester, but I doubt he'll get more than one extra game. But we can hope. [emoji6][emoji3] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  17. How is removing players who don't fit the system, don't want to be here or aren't good enough weakening the squad? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. Austin refused a move to the Championship. Prem clubs only want a loan. We want to sell. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. You obviously haven't been paying attention. The photo of Lemina in his hospital bed after his op last week was a clue. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. The save looked pretty good and there was another chance he pulled wide. If he and JWP are competing for one place, it's a hard call. I'm guessing Ralph would like to be able to trust a back four and then play both. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  21. Good assessment. Armstrong for a CB was a move that gave us a bit more inventiveness. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  22. It's easy to say there was too much passing round at the back. Palace were sitting back in numbers making the quick forward ball difficult. Our goal came from patience until the right moment came. We were trying the braver incisive forward passes, but the danger when these failed was obvious on the way Palace can break, and that was their game plan. Sit back, frustrate, wait for the mistake. We we're better when Armstrong came on because he provided more movement and vision, both of which I hope can be coached in others. I thought the crowd were disappointing, adding to the frustration and showing little understanding. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  23. Ok - I, like the ref, didn't have the benefit of replays and, as you said, it's one you sometimes get and sometimes don't. Zaha's reaction was typical of "big" players who seem to expect special treatment and automatically be given a free kick if they ask the ref for one. And he'll probably get away with a one game ban, despite continued mocking and dissent after the red. "Lesser" players would get the book thrown at them for that. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  24. If that's a reality check, you're living in a parallel universe. Your version of what I saw at the game is about as unreal as you can get. We deserved at least a draw. In the first half both teams played well but defences were on top. I agree we struggled to find the way past them once they scored and sat back but we weren't terrible. Finding a way past a solid packed defence has caused better teams than Saints problems. Look at Man City on Tuesday. But we kept going, got the equaliser and had chances to win it at the end. As a Saints fan, rather than someone who just comes on here to run the team down, I'm happy to note where we need to improve, be happy that we've got a team that, with this manager, will improve, take the point, draw a blue line and move on. Apart from the goal, Zaha was poor and his stupid petulant tantrum was the result of knowing he'd been kept quiet by a 19 year old and then a stand-in RB. JWP didn't foul him in the sending off incident. He deserved everything he got and I hope and expect it'll be more than a one game ban as he continued his mocking of the ref after he was given red.
