Cheers leafy. And the same to one and all. Things can only get better. [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3] We hope. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

We're past the deadline for 5 yellows now. The next penalty applies if you get 10 yellows in the first 32 games. In other words, if Romeu gets yellow against Chelsea he doesn't get suspended but it's another towards possibly losing him at the critical end if the season. So he doesn't want bookings Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Not a bad shout, but I'd put in Yoshida for Lemina. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

In the example in the footnote, it says clearly that if a PL player gets a fifth caution in the 20th game, they are not suspended. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Hojbjerg is four games. Second red this season. If I read it correctly, 5 yellows had to be in first 19 games, so that has passed. But I'm confused as 31 Dec is also mentioned. Think we're ok now unless anyone reaches 10 cautions by the end of the 32nd game Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

As an aside, I'm stuck with a trainload of City supporters on my way home. At least they're civilised, and not Man U. Anyway, their consensus was that, although we were outplayed we had more of a tactical plan than plenty of other teams, keeping shape and only pressing at the right time. After we scored they were worried because we started to show confidence. Feeling on the penalty was 50/50 but they'd have expected to get it. Although the ref evened it up with the Sterling one. Hugely relieved that they got the lucky own goal. Surprised that they thought Hojbjerg was hard done by with the red. They don't like Austin but we agreed on his capabilities, or lack of them. Their outside view was that they've played several worse teams than us and we shouldn't go down. But it's not about how well we play in losing to a good team, it's about beating the rubbish. I think the cut-off for 5 bookings was the end of the WHU game. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Too busy writing his criticism of Ward-Prowse to actually watch the game. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Yes, I know he was on for 30 mins, during which City didn't score as they'd largely stopped bothering. Before Valery came on I assume you missed us going to five at the back with Ramsey moving inside and JWP at wing back. When Valery came in at RB, JWP moved back into midfield. Bizarre that you seem to have missed the blocks he got in at critical moments? His free kicks and corners weren't "straight at City players". They were consistently put into good areas but were well defended. But I suspect you could write your review of his performance before the match, and probably do. I'd rather have him than Lemina at present. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

After Spurs they lost most of their defence, including all CBs. That helped us, just a bit. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Valery was out of position on several occasions and gave the ball away more than once. Ward-Prowse did little wrong. Far more positive than he has been, good run to get the non-penalty (which certainly should have been given, like the one on Sterling. Two wrongs don't make a right) and whilst he was at RB was stronger than either Valery or Ramsey. But I do understand that it's a golden rule that JWP always has to be bad. Just left the match. Disappointing but now disastrous, except for Hojbjerg's red. Is it his second this season? If so missed four and he's the driving force in the midfield. McCarthy will no doubt get criticism from those running the witch Hunt, but he saved us at least three times. The third was the only one he might have done better with. Stephens, Bednarek good. Targett struggled again. Ramsey decent debut. Hojbjerg outstanding until his brain fart. Romeu pretty solid, Lemina poor. Ward-Prowse had a great game. Should have had a penalty, don't blame him for the og - he did get a block in. Good deliveries. Charlie did little. Missed a great chance and got stupidly booked. Of the subs, Valery was poor but Redmond and Long improved things. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Not this again. FFS, Saints winning matters, who wins the league is irrelevant. Disliking another team can never supercede supporting Saints. And I'd actually be happier for Liverpool, and all the products of SFC, to win the league. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Is it time to give Angus Gunn a run in the PL

This. I've noticed a tendency to stand still in the hope of blocking a shot rather than attacking the shooter and closing him down. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -

No he wouldn't. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -

I don't agree with the criticism because Alex has done little wrong since he took over and is a very good keeper. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -
1. Don't see why we should be, although the prospect obviously excites you. 2. Agreed, but won't be easy. Not sure who wants our surplus. 3. Doubt it, unless there's a change of policy. Already said none incoming. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

No chance. Romeu and Hojbjerg. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

This is the real first test for Hasenhüttl. He came in with energy and enthusiasm and instilled a new way of playing and got two good results. Then a setback and things didn't work against W Ham. The big question is whether he can put that right, pick up the team and get a performance tomorrow. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

There wasn't when they beat us 6-1. [emoji3525] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Doubt we'll see Cedric. Could put Stephens in at RB. Obafemi definitely out too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I think you'll find the majority are happy with McCarthy. I'm finding the campaign to find fault each game a bit of a witch hint. All players make mistakes. Goalkeepers' mistakes just tend to be more critical. He had no chance with that second last night. Maybe could have got a hand on the first but was unsighted, mainly by the ref's clever run in front of Anderson, but I lay as much blame with the defenders who just stood to try to block the shot rather than closing it down and attacking the shooter.
