Another very wrong assumption. Out by a factor of 600% Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

The most pathetic attempted defence of a troll by another. Or probably the original poster under a different login. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Possibly both. We came out with passion and energy. Didn't manage to score from two or three promising attacks. Faded as the half wore on, but still well in the game. Biggest failing was not renewing intensity after we scored. Back to not closing down the shot. Although the ref helped by helping to block McCarthy's view. Lemina was guilty of being too clever in the wrong areas. Valery struggled bit was far from bad. The CBs were good. Romeu excellent. Armstrong had a good game, Redmond didn't get the breaks and admittedly dithered once it twice. Ings looked a little off the pace. Shame Obafemi wasn't available. Yes we tired after their second goal and stopped winning the midfield battles. But just how much would we have been energised if we'd been given the obvious penalty rather than them breaking down the field to score? That moment of appalling refereeing settled the game. McCarthy had no chance for the second goal and was unsighted, mainly by the ref, for the first. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Vestergaard was excellent. He lost the ball once on twice, but saved us on several occasions. Lemina, on the other hand, gave the ball away again and again. Redmond also lost the ball on occasions, but he was trying to be creative in dangerous areas, not taking risks in midfield. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I could see absolutely no way the ref could justify not giving firstly a card to Carroll for a deliberate kick to the ankle and a penalty to Saints for the right tackle on Bednarek. Maybe not deliberate but close to it, and at least utterly incompetent. He was treating incidents in a way that was simply not consistent with the Laws. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

This. That was a clear red against Carroll and a blatent penalty not given. With vaguely competent refereeing we should gave been 2-1 up against 10 men. Is it my imagination or do WHU get decisions like this on a very regular basis? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Very clear. Bednarek rugby tackled to the ground. Not given. They break and score. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

We seem too anxious going forward. Suppose it's part of attacking quickly, but we're making mistakes in midfield. Lacking Hojbjerg. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

No Arnautovic nor Carrol starting for them. Carroll on bench. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I can't believe that. Under no circumstances could I ever support a team against Saints. Whatever happens with City, Liverpool, Spurs is totally secondary to Saints. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Good result for us. Still out of the relegation zone. And a win today will open up a bit of a gap, particularly if Fulham lose too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Why couldn't Leicester take them like that against us? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I will be eternally grateful that we didn't. Just hope that Ralph doesn't think it's time fir a move up. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Think he's been angling for another payoff for a while. It was inevitable, and no loss. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Haven't heard from him, have we? Maybe the new regime is tighter with info. FWIW my guess is McCarthy Cedric(if fit, or Valery) Stephens (hopeful recovered, or Yoshida) Bednarek Targett Romeu Lemina Hojbjerg Redmond Ings/Gabbiadini Armstrong Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

This is exactly how I'd like us to set up. Both Hojbjerg and Lemina can be creative if they're not having to sit and protect the CBs, which isn't their strength anyway. Then no need to have three at the back either: Romeu is effectively the third, slightly more advanced CB. Armstrong, Redmond and Ings/Long/Obafemi make up the attack. Probably Stephens and Bednarek as CBs, unless defensive height is critical, when I bring in Vestergaard. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
