Without wishing to court controversy, I'd suggest that Obama has a lot to thank the "24" generation for. The portrayal of a decent African-American president in that popular series has made his task easier IMO. I don't wish that to sound like I'm a McCain supporter. I'd prefer Obama gets in anyday.

Hamilton gets results, albeit with a peculiar driving style (I'd hate to engineer his car), and it's impossible to take that away from him. He ranks alongside Kimi as the outright "fast" guys. He's so hard on the car though and the tyres that it's testament to McLaren that he's never had a mechanical DNF. We've yet to see how he performs when the car is poor, although Brasil is surely indicative. The car was set up for the dry, with a reasonably low downforce setting, and he just couldn't cope. I don't think he's quite experienced enough to wring the utmost out of an inferior car (somewhat like Kimi) but there's no doubt that when the car is hooked up he's awesomely quick. Also, as you've alluded to, I can't really bring myself to support him, and I'm sure that would be the case if he was the most genial bloke in the world, which he isn't.

I've considered that but it's also £159 (or £99 for only 8gb) plus an extra £15pcm on my O2 contract. Expensive.

I've run a G2 Nano 8gb since release with no problems and that's why I'm undecided about 'upgrading'. Yes I get through 8gb but it's easy enough to drop stuff off and replace it. No one can possibly listen to their entire library. I'm torn between a new 16gb Nano, a 32gb Touch or upgrading my phone contract to an iPhone. The biggest issue I have with the Touch and the iPhone is the size. It's enormous compared to both my current phone and the Nano.

Effectively, or entirely? I'm umming and ahhing over an iPhone but I quite like the look of the gaming on the Touch. Finding it's identical would help. Also, does i-Player work on an iPhone?
