It's an iffy call, and could be seen either way, as I demonstrated, with an example, on the GP thread. I thinks it's best left to the stewards, the FIA, McLaren and the appeal court to sort it and, for that reason, I'm out.
I had exactly the same on my sub 1 year old car last week. A spiderweb crack the size of a 50p after a stone flicked up from a car going the other way. Really ****ed off. My insurance covers it, with an excess of £60, but I hate having new screens fitted 'cos they always get more condensation afterwards.
At the moment the chip/crack is covered with a square of helicopter tape, the clear stuff they put along the leading edge of helicopter rotors and (coincidentally) is put over all the bodywork joints on F1 cars.
I'm only surprised he's forgotten to include the standard "If you've done nothing wrong then you've no reason to be worried about ID cards". IMO if you're doing nothing wrong then the Government has no right to keep tabs on you.
I wouldn't read too much into the text around the podcast. Pat Symonds was never at Ferrari.
Although the podcast itself is very well reasoned and does reflect the feeling around the paddock.
According to Baj we're missing out on a quid per goal too.
Funny how Merson keeps calling him "Wallc*ck" on SSN though
Oh, btw, I don't think we had much option than to take the cash early.
The trouble is that unless you can do it in a completely different way to anything done before you run the risk of looking like a tool, as do the authors of every other book in the genre.
