The fact is their actions directly led to another mass gathering the following evening, which they stood by and let happen, so they have actually increased the risk of transmission and pissed off a load of soppy London women in the process. Brilliant policing.

I’d take a cup win and relegation in a heartbeat. The Prem is pretty dull anyway.
-
There was bound to be some people there with anti-men and anti-police views, it was a vigil for someone who was probably raped and murdered by a police officer. You always get a minority of extremists at these sort of things. Given the circumstances and the emotional nature of the occasion, a low key approach to policing obviously made more sense.
-
I expect everyone there had an agenda - to stop women being raped and killed, or feeling unsafe on the streets. I doubt any were there because they just liked lighting candles.
-
Dunno, it appears to be more of a postcode lottery. I think I had Covid last year anyway so am not that fussed.
-
Think fat people get to have it first.

Hancock is on the box now saying it won’t be effected. God knows who to believe.

I was confident when the draw was made but can see us getting beat in this one after our recent shit-shows. They have some decent players who will probably raise their games because this is massive for them, our lot will probably just see it as a week-off. Would be great to play at Wembley again but I even if some fans are allowed I doubt I will get a ticket, plus it looks like whoever wins will just face a stuffing anyway so not overly bothered, staying up is the priority now.

They are not in the EU so not sure what their political motives are for pausing.
-
You can’t blame VAR for players getting injured FFS.
-
God knows, I thought other countries had paused it as well, Thailand and Congo.
-
Why are some non EU countries doing the same then?

Agree with the above, this season is a freak so I would give Ralph the benefit of doubt for now. The schedule calms down a bit from now on so hopefully we will notice the difference.
-
Aren’t they just suspending it until they know more? As we’ve seen before, not every country has the expertise we do, so while they are probably wrong they have their own systems in place for checking.
-
I support how the Police dealt with yesterday's resulting protests, which is how Police in the Midlands dealt with a vigil similar to the Clapham one.
-
Wether they were holding candles, putting flowers down, crying or chanting the end result of what the plod did is more ill-feeling, more gatherings and more risk of spreading the virus. Why do you think the gatherings last night in response to the Clapham shit-show were Policed differently?
-
I don't agree with any protests during a pandemic, anyone who attends a mass gathering in the current situation is an idiot IMO. But as they were there holding their candles and crying or whatever they were doing the plod would have been better off just letting them get bored/cold and disperse naturally - as they were doing. All they have achieved through roughing up a bunch of emotional women is create more ill feeling and mass gatherings.
-
Which is what I have been saying all along. All the plod achieved by roughing up a bunch of women was trigger a second mass gathering last night (which they policed differently) causing more potential spreading.

He changed back to his preferred system after that Leicester game and we looked decent up until this bad run. Anyway we’re Saints, we are generally always shite, just in varying degrees.
-
I just think the crazy schedule and injuries has killed his high energy game and that’s all he knows. It’s a freak season so I would give him the benefit of doubt. As long as we can get a stronger squad in place we should do OK next year if we stay up.
-
Now thousands are gathering in Parliament Square in response to the police shit-show in Clapham- way to go plod.
-
Is Game preperation time contributing to our run?

The mental schedule has definitely had an effect, luckily the next month looks better fixtures wise.
