Plenty of people have been. There are obviously many downsides to lockdowns but there are few alternatives so there is no point moaning like a little bitch because your ale house is shut.
-
Measures in between is exactly what we have done and are doing now, even our first lockdown was not as severe as many countries. I can’t stand Bozo and his bunch of cronies but when it comes to lockdowns he has little choice. The idea that you can shield the vulnerable and just crack on as normal is just fantasy.

Allowing Covid to run riot would have a much worse impact on the NHS.
-
I disagree, the EU have made it clear they would welcome us back so there is no reason why they wouldn’t make concessions, especially if Brexit proves bad for both parties. It all depends how things pan out, if we thrive outside as Boris says then obviously going back in won’t happen.
-
The British public’s view on rejoining will obviously depend on how it turns out. If it’s a complete shit show people’s loyalties to Brexit won’t last long. Its obviously going to take a few years for the effects to become clear but I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up going back in eventually. The vast majority of people just want to be better off, they aren’t weirdo Brexit jihadis like you and the others on here.

Dos it make any difference were the person who died had an existing condition or not, there are millions in the high risk category and their deaths are just as tragic as those of healthy people.
-
We might have less money but we will have shit loads of fish. We’re playing a blinder.
-
Is that the same as the Trump blinder or better?
-
This. A bunch of old wankers have taken their chance to give two fingers to Germany and we are going to be left with the consequences.
-
No way will they let a few fish get in the way of a deal, this is good news. i expect the current shit-show in Dover has given the negotiations a bit of a nudge.
-
It’s just bonkers putting everyone in tier 4 the day AFTER everyone will be meeting up and infecting their families.
-
That’s where your argument doesn’t make sense. One minute you call it a protectionist cartel, next minute you expect us to be free from their regulations and be able to undercut them and keep free access to their market. You can’t have it both ways.
-
From you that’s a compliment. Cheers

Great to see Lewis win, obviously the best candidate in a pretty shit year. The British public obviously are not put off by the Marxist takeover he is so openly part of.
-
Shouldn’t we call this new variant the English Virus?
-
Decent performance, can’t really complain about the result. If Ings has stayed on we probably could have nicked a point.
-
I should have reported it but I was young, straight out of Uni in my first proper job so didn’t feel well placed to report my new boss to the old bill for saying something racist. Like you would have I’m not lecturing anyone, just trying to explain to a simpleton the reasons why people are not just being anti-racist but SHOWING they are ant-racist.
-
That’s the bit you just don’t get do you. Appearing to be anti racist is what it is all about, the more that people show that they are against racist behaviour the more people who behave that way know they are in the minority and their views are unacceptable. It’s not rocket science.
-
Of course it will, it’s not an either or thing though - let’s keep up with both.
-
For some it might, but you would like to think that for some supporters seeing their heros make the gesture week in week out might make them think that racist behaviour is for wankers. Even if it has a tiny effect there is no harm in it, unless you are one of these people terrified of a Marxist takeover.
-
My point is that if players taking the knee irritates racist fans at least it is getting a response and maybe make them think a bit unlike the players wearing a kick it out T-shirt once a season.
-
From the FA: "To be clear, we do not see taking the knee as a political symbol, and would contend that there can now be no doubt as to what the gesture means in a footballing context," It's almost like you are looking for reasons to appose it.
-
The players are not calling anyone names, just making an anti-racism gesture. Not really the same thing.
-
Maybe it will take that to help get the message across. Putting on a Kick-it-out T-shirt before kick-off one game a season is not exactly going change anything is it?
