I think by June this whole virus thing should have calmed down enough to safely allow 22 men to kick a ball around a field for 90 mins. Especially if they have all been tested before hand. If all the games are behind closed doors they can be scheduled at short notice for Tv and have live games seven days a week.

No I think if they can’t complete the season just cancel it and start a fresh season when they can. Until everyone has played each other home and away league positions don’t mean a lot. Having said that I think it would be fair to award the title to Liverpool. As much as I hate them they have effectively won the thing, the fair thing to do would be have the other clubs admit that.

We can do all that and still increase funding, they are completely separate issues. Fact is a large proportion of society have cried like a bunch of babies at the thought of paying a bit more tax to fund public services - hopefully that mindset will change going forward.

Labour havn’t been in power for over 10 years so yes, it is absolutely all the Tories doing. My Dad has been in and out of hospital for most of the past year, whilst the staff were fantastic they were already overstretched then, god knows how they are coping now.

No, but cutting it obviously means it is more overstretched than it otherwise would be.

No but 10 years of cuts to the NHS just because some arseholes don’t like paying a bit more in tax has not really helped the current situation has it? I don’t blame anyone for being angry about that. Personally I don’t think the current government have handled it too bad, they seem to be a couple of weeks too late in most their decisions but wether that’s the case only time will tell.

I guess once we’re past the peak there is no reason players can’t be tested before the game. It only needs to be the starting 11s plus subs, refs and a few coaching staff. A guy on the radio said they have developed a test that gives results in 2 hours.

Problem is if they don’t finish the season they don’t get the Sky money. They don’t get that then the whole lot of them go bust.

Don’t think the government had much choice, it has to be done to stop the whole system crashing. I expect there will be more to come.

The scary thing is when they interviewed a doctor from another part of Italy he reckoned we will end up in a worse state because of our current lack of action in social distancing/testing.
