  1. Probably be more competitive and entertaining IMO, there will just be less money sloshing around. I probably enjoyed football more in the years before the Premier League millions than I do now anyway.
  2. But haven't the Prem said they will help them out? Once that happens I'm not sure what motivation any of them would have to hand over complete control to the big six - would be turkeys voting for Xmas.
  3. What a load of nonsense.
  4. Not this European Super League again. Why don't they actually fuck off and do it instead of just going on about it all the time?
  5. I think a circuit break is probably the best option TBH. Unless these regional restrictions bring the r rate below 1 then it's just a matter of time before it happens anyway, better sooner than later. Leave it too late and it might not only cost lives but might mean we have to lock down even longer which would have worse effect on the economy.
  6. You're all over the place on this, why don't you just save your embarrassment and admit you are wrong. Of course he broke the rules, probably three times. Everyone over the age of 12, except you, knows his eye test story was just bullish!t. Even if the eye test story was in some bizarre way true and he didn't break any rules the fact that you have people at the highest level of government acting 'morally reprehensible' with regards to the rules they set for us would have the same effect of undermining the government's message.
  7. But what Cummings did was fine.
  8. I'm not sure the British mood will be great if we trash our economy for the sake of a few fish. How much cash will we make from this WTO fish windfall next year then?
  9. So you do actually believe the eye test story. Brilliant!
  10. They don't have a choice as the alternative is going bust. As one of the papers said yesterday - What Liverpool and Man Utd are effectively doing is offering a drowning man a life-belt, but on the condition that they lose their right to vote. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.
  11. That idea would be duller and more pointless than the current Premier League. Take away relegation and all but the big six will literally have nothing to play for. I would take being in a competitive league system with the other 80 clubs in a heartbeat over that. I'm pretty sure the fans of all those clubs involved would hate it as well, even Man Utd's fans would get bored of watching their reserves stuff Belfast (LOL) or Cardiff 8-0 every season.
  12. Dunno, here’s there policy on animal slaughter: We shall ensure that when slaughter does take place it is done so as to cause least suffering to the animal, with due regard to species and individual animal factors, and is monitored without prejudice towards minority religious and cultural groups.
  13. Who cares, everyone would be in the some position so it wouldn’t matter.
  14. I find the idea of that a lot more exciting than season after season of just being happy to stay up in a league so the owners receive a big pay check. With the 'big six' fucking-off and doing their own thing the cup competitions would be more interesting as well.
  15. Because she cares about animal welfare.
  16. Ah bless, you actually believe the eye test story! I know you right wingers are not supposed to be intellectuals but seriously?
  17. I agree with this, a league without the ‘big six’ would be more competitive and exciting for clubs our size.
  18. My point was that by apologising and admitting she had done wrong she didn't undermine the governments message as much as if she had lied and made out it was OK to do what she had done. Cumming's actions made the Prime Minister to go on national TV and explain how it's totally fine to drive the length of the country even if you have Covid symptoms and go on a 60 mile trip to a local beauty spot during lockdown - that's where the damage was done.
  19. Just a power grab, cloaked in a gesture of good will for lower league clubs. Despicable. Can’t see it getting voted through, don’t they need 14 clubs to agree?
  20. What part of ‘what she did was worse than Cummings’ don’t you understand?
  21. I’ve given up giving a shit about who owns the club, there’s not a thing we can do about it so worrying about it is pointless.
  22. I don’t think what she did was ok, I have already said what she did was worse than Cummings - try reading next time. My point about her admitting it and apologising was that by doing so she didn’t undermine the government’s message as much as if she had lied and not apologised like Cummings. Controlling this virus depends totally on the behaviour of the public, when the people in charge are seen to be ignoring the rules then it does have an effect on people’s attitudes and behaviour - that is undeniable. Lying and acting dishonestly, or even just being perceived as doing such, only makes the situation worse.
  23. Fuck me you are hard work. What the Scottish MP (no typo this time) did was worse but at least she had the decency to admit it and apologise, that was my point. If you don’t think Cummings did anything wrong you are thicker than I thought.
  24. What are you going on about? I was merely making a point that what the Scottish PM did was worse than what Cummings did.
  25. I said if I was in charge you bell-end. I'm not actually in charge of the country right now.
