  1. **** me that was tense!! Great result, start of the great eascape?
  2. Signing Lambert was not a gamble, he had already banged in 29 goals in the same league for Bristol Rovers the season before.
  3. Guess what, it is all over.
  4. To be fair, all the Saints managers seem to pick him then drop him.
  5. I think any deluded idiot that thought it would be a good idea should be top of the redundancy list. I've been to a few of these and the idea of it taking place after that shower of ****e gets us relegated is bizarre. They could always rename it the End of Season Shame Awards, and give prizes for the Worst Attempt at Goal, Worst defensive decision, Most Overpaid Player etc. With a special "Les Reed' Award for the worst managerial decision in the history of The Premier League.
  6. Don’t you mean after the clubs ambitions / financial constraints changed NC jumped ship along with the other rats?

    Our fans

I’ve got mates who are not Saints fans but go to St Mary’s, and Fratton when they were in the Prem. One is actually a Pompey fan but because his kids want to watch Premier League games he has to take them to see Saints which is **** funny.
  8. Well that’s a start. Even if it’s bull**** at least someone is saying something.
  9. Good to see Gao has his finger on the pulse of the important issues at SFC. Should be great preparation for the physical demands of the Championship, a few friendlies against a bunch of 5ft tall Chinamen.
  10. They are not deliberately cheating but there are always decisions where there is a degree of doubt and there is more pressure on them to give the decision in favour of the bigger club. Not sure wether it is getting worse or not but I think it is vital for clubs like us that VAR is introduced, that won’t stop the bias but should definitely help.

    Our fans

You always have these problems at these big games when the fans are all mixed up. Some fans like to stand up, sing and swear, others like to sit in silence with their thermos and Tupperware- there is obviously going to be a conflict. It would make sense if the club nominated a certain few blocks for the boring, family types - it would make it a better experience for everyone.
  12. Surely it’s the clubs that decide how to sell their tickets? Chelsea fans have been able to buy two extra tickets per membership all week.
  13. You are just making stuff up now, what happened over Iraq doesn’t mean our government are purpetual lying scumbags but the fact that they lied before means that it is possible that they may lie again. No doubt you were taking the **** our of the mad conspiracy loons who suggested that WMDs didn’t exist in Iraq? You often never know the full truth of what happens in war so I don’t have a problem with the strikes on Assad but that still doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do all you can to find as much evidence as possible. The idea that it was a British false flag is nonsense but who knows what is going on in Syria. There are so many different groups in conflict and many in desperate situations - if chemical weapons ended up in the hands of the wrong people who knows what can happen.
  14. **** me, just because one doesn't believe everything our government says doesn't mean they are are on anyone's side. It doesn't make you a conspiracy loon to want to question the evidence, it just makes you intelligent enough to realise there are a lot of people with different agendas. By your rationale, everyone who was correct about Iraqi WMDs was on the side of Saddam Hussain.
  15. We're more likely to stay up than win the FA Cup.
  16. Just logged in and there is a massive block of £80 tickets still available in the lower tier at the front, 1 block away from the dugouts. Tried to buy an extra ticket but it's not letting me because I already have one on my number - ****ing nuts. Whoever runs the ticket office needs sacking.
  17. Yep, looks like the current bottom three are gone. When you need to win twice just to catch up at this stage of the season it is curtains.
  18. Most expensive semi final ever: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/03/21/fa-accused-shamelessly-milking-supporters-revealing-hiked-prices/ Chelsea still havn’t sold out despite people behind no able to buy two extra tickets from yesterday.
  19. He's been charged. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43796756
  20. yes, mainly because I don't trust Reed and co to find anyone better. If we are going to bounce back up we are going to need a strong manager and Hughes at least has the experience, and there will be a little bit of stability - he will have a slightly better idea about who to keep and who to get shot of than someone brought in over the summer.
  21. Because it is their ****ing job.
  22. If we are 3 points from safety come final day we are down anyway. Nightmare scenario would be we are 1 point above both of them come final day with a slightly better goal difference, they play out a draw and Man City puts 5 past us.
  23. To be honest whilst I am going I am not really feeling the magic of the cup, probably because we have not beaten a single half decent side this season let alone a side as good as Chelsea. I’m clinging to the hope that as it the cup, apparently ‘anything can happen’, deep down though I know that we are just going to get butt ****ed live on TV and go home miserable.
  24. I dunno, Burnley and Palace at home is a good chance for them to pick up points.
  25. The whole situation in Syria is ****ed. From what I can see is it can only be resolved in two ways, 1. Go to war with Russia, or 2. Sit down and talk with Russia. Throwing a few missiles at Assad is not going to achieve anything with regards to the outcome of the war, though I agree with it in principle if he did carry out the gas attacks - which looks most likely.
