  1. The Ugly Inside did a S.I.C.K (Saints In Conventional Kit) campaign so I guess some people were not happy. I didn't mind any of the 80's kits as they still looked like 'Southampton' to me.
  2. You are just making sh!t up to justify a decision made by 'he who does no wrong'.
  3. Like Chis Nicholl's 4-2-4 side that thrashed the Champions Liverpool 4-1 and finished 7th? That's the best Saints side I've ever seen play.
  4. Do you seriously expect anyone to believe that? I suppose if you went to the games on your own, didn't talk to anyone, read any matchday programmes or history books, and didn't watch any television at all you could be unaware we used to play in stripes. Anyway the Keegan kit and the Danish Pyjama's were both still red and white striped shirts with black shorts and white socks. The only kit that wasn't was the David Armstrong red and black corners one. Even that was a red and white shirt with black shorts and white socks. It was an 80's fashion disaster but still an attempt was made to make it look 'Southampton'. I agree with the OP, whilst I'm not that @rsed about buying a replica shirt, I don't like the way the clubs traditions are valued so little by the people that run the club.
  5. I disagree about killing being justifiable, sometimes it needs to be done to force change. But that's just my opinion.
  6. Here's my dream team, I'm a bit too young to have watched Paine, Channon, Ball, Keegan and co but this team would still kick some serious ass. ----------------------- Shilton ----------------------- Dodd -------- Wright -------- Ruddock -------- Bale ------------ Case ------------ Schneiderlin ---------- D Wallace ----------- Le Tissier ------------ Walcott ----------------------- Shearer ----------------------- Subs: Neimi Pahars Oxlade Chamberlain Bridge Beattie
  7. Le Tiss for me. Before him it was Shilton and then Case.
  8. Sometimes people are justified in using violence.
  9. Cockerill in but no Le Tissier, that is just bonkers.
  10. He's obviously not, but Cortese wouldn't sell him for £10mill. Hence he won't be sold to some second rate Spanish side because they wont stump up what Cortese wants.
  11. according to google he says: Ay guys. Today is the championship ga? Cho Junior 14:30 hrs in CT on Daybreak between our inter x youth. Come on? support gurizada.
  12. Just because he's not worth 20-30million, doesn't mean the Don will sell for less than 20-30million. Name one thing Cortese has done here that makes you think he will sell our best player for anything less than a ridiculously high fee.
  13. Irrelevant anyway, Swansea will probably out-bid us. We can never compete with them.
  14. He would only go if a big club offered silly money, no chance he would leave us for Real ****ing Sociadad.
  15. Don't get your hopes up, Swansea might be interested.
  16. 'Come on you blacks' just seems wrong.
  17. That reversed with black shorts and white socks and you have a winner.
  18. The idea that we should just be grateful we have a club and shut up is just lame. If you don't like or agree with something you should at least have the balls to say so. I've heard the kit is how it is because solid red is considered a more powerful colour. I agree with that but don't agree with the club's tradition being ****ed all over. I suspect Cortese has such big plans for the club he see's no value in being associated with the past which has been, in the main, not that successful.
  19. ...also only if you don't mind looking like a right tight arse.
  20. Pearl Jam - Ten Air - Moon Safari Radiohead - OK Computer Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction The Doors - The Doors
  21. English teams were often the best in Europe during the 70's and 80's before the Premier League was formed. I think the league was way more exciting before Sky ruined it.
  22. I think the product's popularity is alot to do with the history and tradition of England being the home of football. The Premier League doesn't attract the best players, or have the best atmosphere. It's definitely a more exciting league than the Spanish or Italian, not sure about German though.
  23. Taxes pay for services shocker! Labour got lazy and overspent as usual, the difference between the tories and labour is not huge though. The main problem is not the cost of public services but how large multinationals are running rings round the tax system. There needs to be a Worldwide agreement because it the moment these corporations are just sucking vast amounts money out of the system. The current globalised nature of capitalism needs to be controlled, otherwise we are just heading for another, even bigger crash.
  24. I expect every team's kit is made in Asian sweatshops.
  25. I prefer it to last year, at least there is more to it than plain with pinstripes. Still not Saints tho.
