It doesn't matter where you sit at any football stadium in the country - you will always be sat near someone spouting garbage. if you tell someone that to their face you are inviting confrontation, best just accept that football is a game of differing opinions and STFU.
-
The problem we have now is that the Rebels in Benghazi know that as long as they keep the fighting going then Gadaffi can be accused of breaking the ceasefire and the bombing can continue.
-
Yeah, because if a country launched 120 cruise missiles at London you wouldn't think it's a big deal. Even if they only hit military targets (big if), that's still people's innocent sons, brothers and friends being blown to bits. Unless there is some sort of end game planned this could quickly go the way of Iraq.
-
125 missiles is alot of bombing, it will probably do nothing but make more people side with Gadaffi against the UN. It wont remove gadaffi - is there a full scale invasion planned? If not what is it going to achieve?
-
I do find it odd how the UN spent weeks deliberating over imposing a no fly zone, then the minute it is approved jump straight in and bomb the living sh!t out of the place - even after Gadaffi declared a cease-fire. You have to wonder what are they trying/hoping to achieve? Because removing gadaffi will need a full scale invasion. And blowing stuff up is just going to **** him off and probably result in more aggression against his people.
-
I disagree, football needs to stay cool. Face paints and jester hats is bad enough, singing the cheif exec's name - that's on a par with the "saints go Wilde" T-shirts.
-
Think that's the general consensus. That's why only a hand full of mongs in the Northam sung it and no one joined in.
-
I just hope this action doesn't come back to haunt us. It's not exactly going to be surprising if Gadaffi retaliates with terrorist attacks here in the UK. I don't see how the UN can end this without a full scale invasion, a few air strikes are not going to topple him.

The catering staff woooa The catering staff woooa They serve me my coffee They ****ng hate pompey

Get a life and stop worrying about old hoovers you don't need.

Singing about a Chief Exec is embarrassing. Who next, the marketing manager, groundsman?

Why do the French have it in for Libya?
-
Solid performance, result never in doubt after we made the breakthrough. great stuff.
-
Considering the disproportionate amount we are doing in Afganistan compared to other nations I would say we are well within our rights to sit back, do nothing and watch Libya get sorted out while Germany, France etc bring home their dead.
-
Do we go to war at the drop of a hat because we have the capability, or is it the other way round? I agree with the aim, just don't agree with our boys paying the price when so many other countries, as rich or richer, do **** all. the rest of Europe must be laughing their tits off at us, spending our money, killing our soldliers why they sit back doing nothing. Look at those Bristish fools doing all our work again.
-
They were just random examples, there are 195 other countries on this planet, 194 of those have as much to do with Libya as us.
-
I don't disagree with the idea of the UN sorting Gaddafi out, just hate the way our country is so keen to send our boys to their deaths. Put pressure on Libya, sign the bit of paper that makes it legal, then just shut the **** up and let someone else do something for a change. Isn't it about time Ireland, Spain or Norway sent some of their kids to their bloody deaths, what makes our small skint Island so special?
-
****ing stupid getting involved in another war, doing it when we are skint is mind-numbingly dumb. What is it about the British psyche that makes us think that something happening a thousand miles away is our problem to sort out?
-
You're just jealous because football is not as much fun anymore

Bahrain, not just another Pro Democracy rebellion?
aintforever replied to dubai_phil's topic in The Lounge
I don't see why the Shia's of Iran shouldn't help their fellow Shia's in Bahrain - nothing wrong with that at all. Obviously the Iranian form of democracy is not what anyone wants but that doesn't mean the people of Bahrain should not have the CHANCE of a proper democracy. How can it be right to stop them having any hope of democracy just because there is a chance it turns out bad?
