  1. Good stadium but I agree, there is no way it should have cost what it did. It's one of those projects that like the Dome was always going to go over budget, too many people on the take who are accountable to no one. When you give organisations like the FA, who are riddled with politics, a blank cheque money just disapears everywhere. I know someone who was subcontracted, he said they could basically make up what they could get paid. The Olympics will be a similar disaster with politicians and commitees making decisions they shouldn't be let a million miles near.
  2. IF it did happen then who ever did it are retards. I still fail to see why people would boo one of the people who saved the club and helped bankroll it to Wembley. Fact is whoever was watching the big screen was probably not watching Lord c**tface walk out. I couldn't say as I was one of hundreds quing to use Wembley's few toliets.
  3. I didn't hear any booing. Dulldays it is quite possible that the people who heard booing whilst Cortese was on the big screen, were not seeing the real reason why the booing happened (ie) mexican wave or lord whatever his name is. There is zero reason why anyone would boo Cortese, it makes no sense.
  4. Sounds like an insurance fiddle to me.
  5. get in!
  6. It would never work, there are too many ways around it.

    Auschwitz

Was only joking, but to be fair, we've never done anything nearly as bad as what the Germans did.

    Auschwitz

I think everyone should visit Auschwitz, it's important not to forget how nasty German people are.
  9. Am I right in thinking that an administrator can liquidate a company if he thinks there is no point carrying on?
  10. I expect Chanrai has loaned them some money to see the season through, thus making HRMC drop below the 25% or whatever is needed to stop a CVA. The whole thing is so corrupt.
  11. The only reason any club would buy now, under those conditions, would be if they we getting a player at a stupidly low price. As a few others have said on here, it just shows how desperate their situation is and that it looks like they are a long way from finding a buyer. It's good news for the Blue Few in that it might keep their club running, bad news in that it means they are even more ****ed next season, if there is one.
  12. Cracking quote from Dazzablue... "the soon this so called administrator has gone the better he cant be trusted he is doing nothing for the fans he is only helping out creditors"
  13. Diop and Ben Haim will be on big wages so they will do well to give them away without making a loss. They didn't go to pompey from Man City and Fulham because they like the smell of fish.
  14. LOL, at least with Saints and the whole parent company thing there was a slim chance of getting it overturned - even then the majority of Saints fans thought there was no hope, and those that thought there was just thought it was worth a try. There appears to be some weird collective mass delusion thing going on down the M27. The problem is that the fans naturally cling to any bit of good news, no matter how unbelieveable. The administrator has to be positive, even if he thinks there is close to no hope of finding a buyer he cannot say that, his job is to find a buyer and encourage interest. You have tyre kickers like Rob Lloyd, who like Lynham with Saints, is just always overly positive, right up to the final minute when they are outed as being a complete chancer. Throw in deluded idiots like Grant and Storrie plus the local press who love a good positive story to shift a few copies and the whole thing gains a life of it’s own and all rational thinking goes out the window
  15. Imagine how empty it will look if extended to the World Cup 40K minimum. MK being a venue is a dumb idea.
  16. Spilling the beans on Gaydamak might help save his ass but it's probably not in PFC's interests to annoy the biggest creditor who owns all the land around their ground.
  17. Oh dear, even by your standards that is poor.
  18. People forget that not only have they cheated us (as Saints fans) out of a place in the FA Cup, they have also cheated us (as tax payers) out of millions of pounds which could have been spent on hospitals or better kit for our troops. Cheats shouldn't prosper, that's why any rational person should want that club to cease to exist.
  19. Does anyone know what happens if they exit administration without a CVA before the end of the season? Will they get the -15 this season or next?
  20. I heard it was £16mill a season for two years then £8mill a season for the next two. Whatever it is, HRMC, Gaydamak and Chanrai will all have their eyes on it. I don't know how administration works with future income but I doubt it will end up being spent on players.
  21. I think the total parachute money they are due is £50mill, I think that's now over 4 years. The PL are not a charity so I expect to advance £16mill they drove a pretty hard bargain, I doubt pompey will get anywhere near all 50. It wouldn't surprise me if they say; here's your 16mill, we will guarantee your football creditors, that's all you're getting now **** off to the Championship.
  22. South Today said that the PL are going to advance them £16mill parachute money, just to keep them going to the end of the season! So there's a very good chance of them starting on -17 in the Championship with one of the lowest incomes in the league. without a rich buyer they will be nailed on for relegation again IMO.
  23. A load of fuss over nothing, virtually every picture you see in print has been enhanced in some way. The designers wouldn't be doing their job right if they were not.
  24. You have to admire their optimism! Administration, relegation - Tis merely a flesh wound.
  25. That's the problem, if pompey are sold next week they will probably get away scott free.
