From what I understand I think what we're seeing here is the Premier League's (and football in general's) "football creditors first" rule coming back to bite them on their ass. Football is awash with money and the governing body insisting on Muntari and co getting their full 80k a week at the expense of the tax man and other small businesses is just plain wrong. As a result of the Premier League's greed they will probably see one of their clubs fold and their competition thrown into chaos. It wouldn't surprise me if pompey fold and from now on the football governing bodies will make paying the tax man in full vital if a club wants to get the golden share.

If they advance them all their parachutes and let them flog all their players now, all the cash will just disappear into their creditor's pockets. They will be left as one of the smaller Championship clubs, with no players, no extra parachute income and having to pay £1m a year rent. Possibly on -17.

You can expect Chainrai to buy it back, the £1mill a year rent he's slapped on Fratton Park means it's not worthwhile anyone else taking it over. I can see Chanrai taking it back in the summer just to pocket all the parachute money, then leave it to rot.

The Football league will rip into portsmouth next season. Lord Mawhinney will already be cracking one off at thought of all those possible point penalties.

I'm guessing they would advance them the cash that's due at the end of the season + parachute payments. It would cause all sorts of grief to the PL if pompey folded so it's in their interests to keep them running. Also I expect they will actually be better off financially as I expect the total they will give to pompey would be less (like when we cashed in on Walcott early). The PL are not a charity, I think you can rest assure dthat anything they recieve now will mean they miss out on twice as much in the future. Would be great if their current players, Chanrai, Gaydamak n co walk off with all their next two years parachute cash - they will be ****ged.

4 points from those games is not a bad return, but if you are trying to catch up 17 points on the top 6 it is just not good enough. We had to win both to give us any hope at all.

I don't see the point in having an administrator if he's hand picked by Storrie so that he keeps his job and does whatever he likes. I thought the whole point of the administrator is that the idiots who caused the mess were kicked out and someone with the creditors interests was brought in. All pompey will have is some shyster on Chanrai's payroll calling the shots.

I think the bottom line is that Chanrai, Gaydamak and HRMC all want their money and it's the administrators job to get them as much money as possible. None of the people involved have the slightest interest in Portsmouth Football Club.

If we don't win this then it's game over as far as the leagues concerned. It's a good job we've got Wembley to look forward to and the skates to laugh at.

Does the administrator have any claim to future payments? Doesn't seem fair that HRMC and the other creditors will get 1p in the pound when future parachute payments will be due to the club.

I expect the interested parties all have buying from administration in mind anyway. Hopefully they wont get a CVA and still get the minus points next season, jammy gits probably will get away with it though.

People who bully usually do it through frustration because they are **** at their job and they know they are. Brown is not PM material, never will be.

My gut feeling is that the judge will put them in admin with the hope that the players will agree a wage cut to get them through to the summer. Then cash raised through a fire sale and Sky would give the creditors something. Wind them up next week and the creditors get zero and the PL is thrown into chaos, doesn't make sense to me. But then again HRMC are not that happy with football and want blood so liquidation wouldn't surprise me.

To get to 40 points Portsmouth need to average 2 points a game - that's the same as Arsenal.
