  1. Becauae that was ringing round St Mary's when we were 4-1 down in the cup. You are talking out your ass and you know it.
  2. Singing we're going to Wembley is not exactly bragging, it's just singing.
  3. Who was bragging?
  4. Swindon now losing 0-4. Win today and we can catch them no problem.
  5. Would make it funnier if they are shut down before a possible Wembley trip.
  6. Another beauty!
  7. Before tonight Huddersfield's goal difference was 4 better than ours now it's 6 worse - that could prove to be like an extra point.
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those you quoted fees for wouldn't be able to be given away. It's all about the wages, for example if Utaka is on half the reported 80k a week there is no way he would command a fee. When they go down it will be the Leeds/Fowler scenario where they are paying a proportion of his wages for years after he left for nothing.
  9. Are they basically saying that Chanrai gave them nothing, just said he did so he can pull out the cash owed to him by Gaydamak Snr?
  10. From what I understand I think what we're seeing here is the Premier League's (and football in general's) "football creditors first" rule coming back to bite them on their ass. Football is awash with money and the governing body insisting on Muntari and co getting their full 80k a week at the expense of the tax man and other small businesses is just plain wrong. As a result of the Premier League's greed they will probably see one of their clubs fold and their competition thrown into chaos. It wouldn't surprise me if pompey fold and from now on the football governing bodies will make paying the tax man in full vital if a club wants to get the golden share.
  11. I expect the interviewer did a stinky fart, that's what the problem was.
  12. Exactly, the more money the Prem give to Pompey this season the better. If they advance them all their parachutes and let them flog all their players now, all the cash will just disappear into their creditor's pockets. They will be left as one of the smaller Championship clubs, with no players, no extra parachute income and having to pay £1m a year rent. Possibly on -17.
  13. You can expect Chainrai to buy it back, the £1mill a year rent he's slapped on Fratton Park means it's not worthwhile anyone else taking it over. I can see Chanrai taking it back in the summer just to pocket all the parachute money, then leave it to rot.
  14. The Football league will rip into portsmouth next season. Lord Mawhinney will already be cracking one off at thought of all those possible point penalties.
  15. If you ignore the hilarious schoolboy insults of Nigel Farage he actually has a very valid point. None of us elected this European President, we were not even allowed a refurendum on Europe. The whole Europe thing is just a big self-perpetuating gravy train. and totally undemocratic.
  16. Spoken like a true ass hole.
  17. I don't get why only the Scotts get to vote on this, surely we should have the opportunity to rid ourselves of them. Not exactly fair.
  18. He's gone up in my estimation after that rant.
  19. I'm guessing they would advance them the cash that's due at the end of the season + parachute payments. It would cause all sorts of grief to the PL if pompey folded so it's in their interests to keep them running. Also I expect they will actually be better off financially as I expect the total they will give to pompey would be less (like when we cashed in on Walcott early). The PL are not a charity, I think you can rest assure dthat anything they recieve now will mean they miss out on twice as much in the future. Would be great if their current players, Chanrai, Gaydamak n co walk off with all their next two years parachute cash - they will be ****ged.
  20. 4 points from those games is not a bad return, but if you are trying to catch up 17 points on the top 6 it is just not good enough. We had to win both to give us any hope at all.
  21. According to the beeb, portsmouth choose who is administrator... Q: Who will be the administrator? A: This is still unclear, but we know it will not be Nick O'Reilly, the man who prepared the club's recent "statement of affairs". This document was the financial reckoning Portsmouth had to submit to court last week and it would have contained all the gory details (debts of £70m, a tax bill of £12m and rising, and a see-the-season-out estimate of £20m), as well as his opinion on the outcomes, in terms of money returned to creditors, of administration and liquidation. Chainrai either disliked O'Reilly's candour or he balked at his quote, which is believed to have been £1m. This may seem like another professional's attempt to wring money from the club, but it should be remembered an administrator becomes liable for the company's debts and businesses in administration have proved they are not that great at paying those.
  22. I don't see the point in having an administrator if he's hand picked by Storrie so that he keeps his job and does whatever he likes. I thought the whole point of the administrator is that the idiots who caused the mess were kicked out and someone with the creditors interests was brought in. All pompey will have is some shyster on Chanrai's payroll calling the shots.
  23. I think the bottom line is that Chanrai, Gaydamak and HRMC all want their money and it's the administrators job to get them as much money as possible. None of the people involved have the slightest interest in Portsmouth Football Club.
  24. Well I think tonight's result puts this thread to bed. Roll on Wembley and 2010/11.
