I expect admin is still an option, it makes little sense to fold the club now and not get the Sky money due at the end of the season or cash from possible player sales. They could send their loanies back, loan out everyone they can and flounder along until May.

Didn't get Oscar Gobern

Could all this new owner nonsense just be to try and get the court to put the club into administration instead of liquidation? From what I understand (not alot) administration is more likely if the court thinks a buyer can be found.

If we could have sold players outside the window we wouldn't have gone into administration. Cheating ****s

The German system is the way to go, will never happen though because there is too much greed in the game here.
-
Why the hell do they not sell the players in the transfer window, increase their wage bill by bringing in loans, now try to break all the rules by selling them now - it doesn't make any sense at all. Surely they didn't want to beat us that bad.
-
The problem with that is that many of the current Chapel/Kingsland sit down and be quiet types will stay where they are, as will many of the Northamers. you will just end up with people getting annoyed with each other over the stand up sit down issue and with no vocal area because the whole ground will be watered down with displaced silent Chapel standers. Leave it as it is, a whole load of fuss for no reason.

I can't help feeling it's win or bust for us this weekend, anything other than 3 points and the very unlikely will become pretty much impossible.

I don't think most people care if Argentina has the oil or the Falkland islands.
-
Surely the Court should have someone independent to produce the SOA? I don't see the point in getting some dodgy tax avoidance people, employed by pompey, to do it, they could write any old ******.
-
We wouldn't have any more of a case for being reinstated than the other teams they have knocked out so I would think it's fairer to let Brum have a bye.

That's what I keep saying, there will always be a football club in Portsmouth of some sort. Some softies on here keep saying they don't want you to go out of existence, they just want you relegated - which is nonsense as they are effectively the same. If you fold and get expunged or whatever it's exactly the same as being relegated 7 or 8 times over in one hit - which ALL Saints fans must see as being a fantastic thing to happen. Like it or not, finances are as much part of today's game as everything else and you are about to score the most spectacularly funny own goal in football history. FA Cup winners to Unibond Wessex league South in a couple of years.
-
That's quite clearly complete ******, anyone who knows anything about football knows that there is a fierce rivalry between Saints and Pompey. Because of the size of the clubs it's never going to be the biggest but the nature of the two cities and the rareness of the fixture does make it fiercer than many. I didn't see any trouble on Saturday though, all this reporting by the BBC is just sensationalist nonsense, a few things were thrown thats all. The only person injured was by a police dog.

Not true, if you go into admin the PL can withhold the parachute money and pay it out to football creditors, as they did for Derby.
-
The thing is you are the perfect example of why the fans deserve to have their club liquidated as much as the idiots/crooks who have been running it. You happily gloat and boast about the success bought by living beyond your means, you don't care if it's cheating, you don't care if it's been bought with blood money. That is why the main reason I want pompey to go under is to see scum like you crying your eyes out - it's all you deserve.

There was a guy who dressed up as a Saints version of W******d for the away game a few years back. Looked funny, had a large inflatable fish stuck on the top of his hat. The really funny thing was that by the time the train pulled into fratton he had completely **** himself, covered himself up with a big coat and gave the fish to his girlfriend.

I was surprised at how quiet they were, being in block 1 I expected a right earful but until their 3rd they were pathetic.
-
I think the News of The World have got it spot on that, for the good of football, Pompey should not be helped out by the FA. Even if it throws the league into chaos and doesn't help the brand's image short term, if the league wants to retain any integrity it can't be seen to pander to cheats. Pompey should be used as a warning to all the other clubs and an example should be made. I expect the pickey ****s will somehow wriggle out of this somehow though, doing the right thing has rarely been a concern of the PL.

it was nothing really, thought the atmosphere was superb.

They played well and with a bit of luck we could have won today, we needed to get the first goal. As soon as the game opened up their pace killed us. I thought taking Papa off for Barnard just made things worse.

It's a sad state of afairs that he's even considered for England, good shot stopper, nothing else.
-
Derby games are good but losing them will be a small price to pay for the feeling of joy we will get watching your fans cry whilst your crappy club is being bulldozed. I'm not expecting Saints to win tomorrow, any result we get will be a bonus.

It's got to the stage now that I would be disappointed if they didn't go out of existence, their arrogance is just insulting now.
