You would have won some money.

I just thought it was funny, MLT deserved to earn some extra money because his wages were crap compared to even average players now, and alot at the time. Totally harmless fun IMO, the only possible loser were the bookies and I couldn't give a stuff about them, they deserve to lose money.

More importantly, if he is dipping into his pockets is gifted or a Gaydamak style loan?

Schneiderlin wants to Leave / Rasiak

Are we talking about the same Scheiderlin that couldn't even make the Southampton starting line-up against Stockport? -
No chance of play-offs, we will do well to stay up after such a poor start.
-
"The motives behind Gaydamak’s decision to pull the plug on the deal appear to bring into question who actually owned the club in the first place." If it turned out that the club was owned by Gaydamak Snr would the Premier League take any action? They basically took the **** out of their Fit and Proper Person test, surely a points deduction would be appropriate?

They withdraw our support when they saw that Lowe was making a complete pigs ear of it and sending us down. If we looked like staying up they would have still backed us. The worrying thing for the Skates is that I think their debt is secured against future TV money, if they go down they are fooked.

I'm not a huge fan of the BBC but anything that annoys Murdoch must be good. This is fantastic: "News Corporation, which owns Sky television, lost $3.4bn (£2bn) in the year to the end of June" If Sky went tits up then the Premier League would be screwed.

There is no denying that even allowing for the lack of pre-season preparation Pardew's results have not been good enough. No point thinking about managerial change yet but if results are still this bad in a months time I expect Cortese to start wondering if he is the right person for the job. With Pardew's appointment there was always a chance of a Burley type situation where a manager comes in with a big reputation who is more interested in the paypacket than working hard.

You clearly didn't see how well the team performed on Tuesday while his lazy ass was warming the bench. Scheiderlin obviously has talent, he has a great touch and can pass the ball. But that is only part of a midfielders game, his movement is rubbish, he can't tackle, I've yet to see him win a header, he makes no forward runs, he cannot close down opponents, he cannot score and cannot defend. The midfield on Tuesday looked way better with Lloyd James in the middle. -

Scheiderlin is dog****e, thank god he wants to go. Excellent news. -
Nonsense, the worst that will happen is they will go into admin, get relegated with -10 and end up with a new owner. That's the least they deserve for buying the FA Cup on credit IMO.

Won't make any difference, violence is way worse in other countries. What happened last night wouldn't even make the news in many countries.
-
I suppose a fairer comparison would be if we played a League 2 club. Oh, hold on, Carling Cup Round 1 - Southampton v Northampton - attendance 10,921 Two leagues below them and our fan base is a third bigger.
-
Why can't we have a decent violence thread without it degenerating into pointless politcal debate? Who got ***ted and what were they wearing?
-
Whoever it is, they've conveniently taken over just too late to spend any money as the FPP test will take 1-2 weeks and the transfer deadline is next Monday.
-
Charlton have managed it somehow.

Just tell him to shut up you pussy.

They would opt for Man Utd because they are the more glamourous, yes history obviously plays a part but mainly recent history not ancient. If City win the League and Champions League in the next few years it wont take long for them to be more glamourous (remember Chelsea were only a ****ty little nothing club a few years ago). Apart from the FA Cup that was bought on a credit card last year, pompey's recent history is complete dog ****e - year after year of laughably bad football and 7,000 crowds. No investor would know about, even less give a ****e about, what pompey did around the time of the second world war.

Ever since we've spent a fortune on Woodward's state-of-the-art dome training thing we have consistently under-performed - that is an undeniable fact. It is obviously an asset in attracting players to the academy and the club - it gives the right impression. But does it actually help the quality on the pitch at all? The beauty of football is it's simplicity, Brazil have been the best at football since day dot and most of them learned their trade kicking lumps of turd around the back streets of Rio. I think any benefits of the multi-million pound complex could be outweighed by the fact that it sends our pampered, prima-donas out on the pitch at some ****-hole up north with delusions of grandeur.

She's about to wipe her arse with it.

I said at the start there was no chance of promotion this season, not only because of the -10 but because we've got to build a team from scratch. Last season we were relegated easily, it wasn't even close. Since then we've lost our top scorer, best midfielder and best defender. Pardew still needs 3 or 4 players AND time to get the team playing how he wants - Pinnacle robbed us of that.

A big problem the skates will have now is that they are a much worse prospect now than even a few months ago. Even though they have reduced the debt, because the season has started and their squad is a mess, their one and only asset (PL status) is looking less and less secure. Even if someone takes over now they wont pass the FPP test before the transfer deadline and even if they spunk millions on a decent manager and a load of loan signings, staying up is still much more of a gamble now that it would have been if they had bought the club in June.
