It is the timing I was on about, there is no logical reason why Lowe should wait a few days when he knew the state of the accounts, he knew the situation with Barclays, he knew what cheques were due to go out. Other clubs have managed to time their admin at half time of a specific game of the season, they had overdrafts and debts like us. What exactly was stopping Lowe filing on the 26th of March and not the 2nd April?
-
Putting us into administration just 1 week after the deadline which meant we would have any points deduction this season? If we had filed for admin on the 19th March we would still be relegated but be in a much better position knowing we had a chance of going straight back up, now we will face another relegation battle next year and any prospective buyers will lose interest knowing we have at least 2 years in div 3. I can't think of any other reason why Lowe would wait a few days when the consequences are SO serious - League 2 and doing a Luton is a very real possibility now. IMO he had to do it just to spite us, other shareholders like Crouch and Corbett, and probably the bank.
-
Of course the players take most of the blame, but when virtually the whole team seem unmotivated it is usually problems with the management.
-
Well done NP.
-
A special mention has to go to the tosser Illingsworth and the Saints Trust who sat by and said nothing while Lowe killed the club with his final act of lunacy.

Fully deserve to go down, players are a disgrace they could at least put up a fight. ****ing tossers.

Your "shades of grey" argument is about as valid as the "Hitler did build some good cars.." point of view. Why don't you just admit you were wrong about Lowe? There is no fence to sit on anymore, he is a failure. -
Why didn't The Directors Loan the Club some cash

I expect they could. -
Can anyone answer the question as to why

What Ken is proposing is an excellent idea. I don't get why the club are not allowed to sell season tickets in case they go bust but they are allowed to receive donations. I think most fans would happily pay for their STs despite of the risk if it meant there was a chance of the club being around. I would happily stump up £500 for next years ticket despite the risk. -
Why didn't Crouch save us from administration?
aintforever replied to Nineteen Canteen's topic in The Saints
I think Crouch said just after it happened that he was unaware of the situation. -
I expect everything depends on wether we stay up, go down or go down and get -10 next season. There's a big difference between buying a Championship club or a club that will spend at least 2 years in League 1.

I disagree, I think behavior is an important factor, agree it was the police's duty to deal with that though.
-
They were obviously surprised by the crush outside the ground, some rozzer thought he was being clever but screwed up big time. The police were completely at fault, but to say the actions of the fans didn't contribute is rubbish, to cause a crush like that outside the ground people need to be pushing.
-
Whilst the fault has to lie with the police the Liverpool fans should accept that their behavior outside the ground did contribute to the disaster. It's nothing against scousers, it could just as easily have been Saints fans but large amounts of drunk fans, mainly young men, do behave in a certain way. If they had just waited in an orderly manner outside the ground the gates wouldn't have been opened. I also think this "Justice for the 96" needs to be brought to a head, the copper ****ed up, changes have been made. Remember the dead, forget the blame, and move on.

It is amazing that the one person that has kept his job is the finance director. You would have thought he could have worked out the state of the finances when he added Ryan Smith to the payroll in January.

What's the deadline for forming a new club in time for next season?
aintforever replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I'm pretty sure if a club ceases trading then their registration will be cancelled and they will be able to play for whoever they want. -
What's the deadline for forming a new club in time for next season?

But if we don't make the end of the season they wont be able to sell a single player. -

I don't get all this "club go out of existence" stuff, why are we so different to all the over clubs that go through administration and carry on? Can someone explain what Barclays and/or Aviva have to gain through killing the club? If the club stops trading then every single player will have their contracts cancelled and leave for nothing. Surely it is absolutely vital for the Bank to have us keep trading untill the end of the season if they want to cash in on anyone? -
I suppose it's impossible to do anything until we know wether we are going to be in business, and if we are wether we are owned by a consortium of Arab billionaires or by a bunch of fans with buckets.

£500K Needed to Keep Going to the End of the Season
aintforever replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
I don't get all this "keep going to the end of the season" ******, what exactly would Barclays of Aviva have to gain by making SFC die? Surely it's in their interests to keep us running? -
If Lowe had filed for admin just a few days earlier it would be a simple case of agree a CVA and we would be starting next season on a clean slate. Cheers Rupes, you ****.
-
I think we will be in line for -25, -10 for admin, -15 for the CVA. I know Bournemouth got -17 for the CVA but that was because they have been in admin before. I think 15 is what Leeds got.
