We Must Take Admin If We Don't Beat Watford
aintforever replied to brightspark's topic in The Saints
No one wishes for it, but it's a case of thinking practically. If relegation means administration is unavoidable, and if it looks like relegation is a certainty - the sensible thing to do is take the 10 point hit this season. -10 next year would make relegation to League 2 the next a very real possibility. -
Sack Wotte, bring in a motivator (Dowie, Holloway or Boothroyd) and hope.
-
Yeah, Pearson was named on the 18th - quite late 5-6ish, we played Plymouth on the 19th.
-
I say don't give him the same breaks, Wotte's been scrotum deep in this pile of crap from day 1. Get him out now, get someone in who has a least a semi decent record in this country.
-
I would have him any day over this Wotte clown.
-
He was appointed the evening before the Plymouth match.
-
Makes sense, there is no point the bank demanding the sale of players that will mean certain relegation. If we were 10 points adrift or 10 points clear of relegation it would probably be a different story.
-
I think you will probably find Wilde mislead Crouch as much as us.
-
Compared to us they are rich. They are certainly not staring League 1 and administration in the face. Wilde, Lowe and Crouch rejected it because of their on selfish reasons, and the mongs on here all believed they were acting in the interests of the club.
-
that deal wasn't "right for us" remember. They were only going to invest £20mill or something over a few years. "right for Coventry but not for us" - you ****ing ****s
-
That means that soon the whole club will be worth less than what we paid for Rory Delap.
-
Or maybe if Lowe had not been removed we would already be in League 1 - who knows?
-
I think playing in 8 inches of snow will be our best chance of 3 points.
-
There's nothing wrong with playing footie in snow - you just use an orange ball, didn't Matt Le Tiss bang in a hatrick against Liverpool when it was ****ing it down? It's **** easy to drive in it as well, this country is full of pussys, just get on with the game FFS.
-
Experience is absolutely vital in a relegation battle - anyone who knows anything about football knows this. It has taken the clowns in charge of our club 2/3rds of a season to realise.
-
I don't think you can blame anyone for believing his lies. It still makes no sense why he made all those lies up, perhaps he was so sure his gamble would get us promoted and finding investment then would be no problem - I dont know and neither do you. The thing is there was nothing us fans could do to stop him any way, and if someone comes in promising the earth there is nothing we can do to prove they will actually spend the money. Abramovich could turn around and stitch Chelsea up now, the Arabs could do the same to City. If someone turns up promising investment again I would jump at the chance, because one thing we know for sure, we will get naff all from Lowe.
-
At least now we have a basket to put our eggs in!!
-
**** talking out of your ass ****
-
I agree we could do with the cover, but if we were on the verge of admin we would have took the gamble. There is no point having extra cover at centre back if you are already relegated by having 10 points deducted.
-
I fail to see how paying the wages of another centre back (who will probably just sit on the bench) is going to keep the wolves at bay any longer if we were on the verge of admin. Maybe we just have a footie mad bank manager who wasn't happy with just Killer, Thomas, Perry, Lancashire, Saeijs and Wotton as cover for centre back. He wanted to splash a few more grand a week on some Hungarian, despite being about to issue a winding up order.
-
We've brought in 15 new players this season, we have sold no one this window - not exactly a club on the brink of admin.
-
Completely destroys the myth that we are going into administration. lets hope this current squad can keep us up now.
-
Boycotting is the best dea in principle, but let's not forget we are in a relegation scrap, if we go down we are screwed regardless of who is running the club. The team needs SMS to be as intimidating as possible for the opposition.
-
Does anyone actually know any real life Lowe Luvies? Absolutely every Saints fan I know (and that's quite alot) think he's a ****, and that includes fans who used to stick up for him. The only place I find anyone on his side is on here, makes me think they are either attention seekers on a wind up or plants.
