Saints 3 Brighton 0 - Post Match Chat
miserableoldgit replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
This, from their NorthStand forum made me laugh :- "Were you at match ? - we more than matched them in first half - they tried to play our style and couldn't do it. Second half they played to their strengths and scored an excellent first goal however the whole game changed with the pen and sending off. Can you remember a worse performance from ref and linos ? they were clearly pressurised (Man U style) into decisions." Really?? -

He really is an ungracious knob isn`t he? "Not interested in the last 35 minutes" -
I did it a few years ago. I was there for a week and we sat on three cases, two violence related and one attempted fraud. I served as Foreman of the Jury on one case. I actually quite enjoyed it.

Might be wrong but I think that La Ling was a loan. Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk -
Watching this make me feel very humble and insignificant. We owe these people so much.

I heard on the news that a record number of poppies had been sold this year. Both can co exsist. The fact that the poppy is to essentially mark one specific day for rememberance and H4H is to help soldiers wounded in current conflicts all year round should ensure that.

Really looking forward to hearing this :- http://www.theagilmore.net/welcome.cfm I just hope that it does the immortal Sandy justice.

The past glories are all they have to hold on to.

I don`t think that anyone is suggesting that he is free from criticism. The problem is that he has been criticised far too much by certain posters on here when he hasn`t deserved it. Any criticism has to be fair, surely.
-
So... you are ignoring the overall results between us then. You call us under achieving but ignore the all time results between us because it doesn`t suit?
-
Can I suggest that you study this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Coast_derby and especially the "All Time Results" section. What is it like to have your ass whipped so many times by a underachieving club, especially at Krap Nottarf? Or are you conveniently forgetting the REAL history between the clubs? No wonder you lot cling on to the result the last time we met, when you were PL (sort of) and we were third division. You don`t have much else to hold on to do you?

Sadly, I bet you do!

The reason that he has done this is because he is being played in his proper position. I have always been a great admirer of his from the start. Anyone with half a brain could see that the guy was full of ability and class. Too many people want players to run around like idiots for 90 mins, regardless of whether they actually achieve anything or not. Guly is capable of playing in the Prem and last year was playing in Div 1. He really doesn`t deserve the flack that he has taken on here.
-
Not sure that I agree with this. IMHO he has played fairly constistantly this season. Like all players he has ups and downs but the fact that he is our second highest scorer and has so many "assists" in goals says a lot.

I only watch "The Football League Show" when Saints do well. I`d better put it on "Series Link" I think!
-
I do hope that a lot of the doubters will be eating or choking on their words now!
-
Some years ago this was used for a couple of matches when the team came onto the pitch. Thought that it worked really well.
-
Well! I hadn`t seen those statistics. I have only been watching his performances on the pitch. I will have to change my opinion now.
-
Yes, the music is great. Being a bit of a folky, it particularly appeals to me and sums up the atmosphere of the stage production perfectly. I like John Tams. His work on this and the music for the "Sharpe" series is excellent.
-
The problem is that because he doesn`t run around like an idiot people think that he is lazy. If you really watch him he covers a hell of a lot of the pitch and tracks back a lot. Twice in recent games I have seen him clear balls of our goal line. Not bad for a lazy, luxury player.

solentsportBBC Radio Solent #pompey - West Brom Assistant Head Coach Michael Appleton latest favourite to be next manager at #pfc. Odds on with some bookmakers.

Totally agree about the London production. It is stunning in so many ways. The film will, of course, be different, but with Speilberg in charge I have high hopes!
