As far as I am concerned MLT will be more than welcomed in any future role with Saints. The man is beyond reproach! He is one of my"Top 5 Heroes" on Facebook after Lord Nelson and Spike Milligan and before James Taylor and Jackson Browne. THAT`S how important the man is to me!!
I am really sorry to start a separate thread for this. I am so depressed that I can't bring myself to read everything else on this site.
I have watched Saints for well over 50 years and MLT has given me more pleasure than all of the other "heroes" I have seen over that time. The man is Saints through and through, more so than a lot of posters on here. There is NOTHING that he can do to tarnish my memories of him. Matty, you tried and you failed. At least you tried. You will always be "Le God" as far as I am concerned. Thank You. I hope that you will still have some involvement with the club.
I was never a great fan of his but he was a great performer and an icon. Was he a kiddy-fiddler? I don`t really know (although as usual people on here KNOW everything) but he will be missed, especially by my daughter who has tickets for his O2 concerts!
I am going up to this. Fantastic evening. You have to see Speedway live!! Staying on to see James Taylor at the Cardiff International Centre on Sunday. Wonderful week-end!
Yep! And we`ll all condemn him before any deal is done and without knowing any facts. It wasn't ALW, Rod Stewart or Jim Radcliffe so we don`t want him! I just hope that we've got a club when the season starts.
