Leon Crouch - a very successful business man.

Apparently Crouch "and one other" put their hand in their pockets to find the Andrew Davies transfer fee. -
Todays German Grand Prix cancelled due to bad weather conditions whilst constructing the track! Now being held in Poland next week.

Is this a euphemism for something?

TBF whilst it does seem to be an "X Files" rip-off it seems to be quite well done and may well work. I just hope that they don`t over do it and make it out-stay its welcome like "Lost"

 Yes. I saw it at Harbour Lights. I may be wrong but I don`t think that it was directed by the same guy. I think he was executive something-or-other, but it is a superb piece of cinema. Not quite as scary as most critics said but still makes you jump. More with what you don`t see than what you do! Spanish Cinema is strong at the moment. Also look out for "Volver" with Penelope Cruz - another cracking piece of work (her AND the film!).

Sadly not but looking forward to watching on Sky. Come on the Pirates!

TBF I don`t blame JP. He, like the rest of us, is a victim of circumstances. We have been relegated. We have no money. We are probably close to admin. He has been offered a chance that he couldn`t have dreamed of by Rupes. What would you do in his position? I`m not sure what the answer is to our current problems, but the right take-over would help. Until then, we are where we are. Between a rock and a hard place.

An absolutely superb film. Would definately make it into my top 10 of all time. If yo haven`t seen it also try "The Lives of Others". Different type of story but almost as good. I am sat here watching "Mongol" at mo. Excellent movie.

I agree. We all want an attractive side that sweeps all before it but given the choice between an attractive side and a winning one I will go with the latter.

Despite all of the "pretty" intentions, the truth is that (despite 2 or 3 clean sheets) we cannot defend and we cannot score enough goals to make up for this (a la KK`s 90`s Newcastle team). Perhaps Billy Davies Derby philosophy does not look quite so unattractive now?

McGoldrick self indulgence is our biggest problem.
miserableoldgit replied to derry's topic in The Saints
The title of this thread is "McGoldrick self indulgence is our biggest problem." I don`t think that it is our biggest problem. It is certainly a major problem but I think that our lack of experience in defence is a bigger one. In some respects this year is a repeat of last season. Then we all knew that we desperately needed to bolster the CD dept and did nothing but sign less than average midfielders. This season it has been obvious from the start that the full-back position in particular needed someone with experience and an organizer and again despite all of the loans that we have made none have really been at FB. This will cost us if not addressed. -

Pathetic. Why are bothering with this forum or any other Saints - related stuff if you cannot bother to get out and support the TEAM because it appears that you think that Lowe and Wilde ARE Southampton Football Club?

Ridicule is nothing to be scared of.

Has to be Ali Dia for sheer effrontery!

This isn`t meant to be a dig at anyone but it seems to me from spending (too) much time on here that there are a great number of posters that do not actually go to games. I know that location accounts for a number of people and I understand that, but I am surprised by the number who seem to live within easy reach of SMS and seem to have strong opinions on everything from the Chairman to the kit-man, that don`t go. It would be interesting to know the proportion of users that do not go to games.
-
I am NOT a fan of Lowe but to miss out on supporting the young exciting team that I saw tonight because you don`t like the Chairman etc is quite frankly pathetic and really is just an excuse.
