Don`t know if this counts as it is Canadian not American but one of the finest series I have seen is "Slings and Arrows". It follows the fortunes of a Canadian Theatre staging a Shakespeare Festival and is by turns very funny and movingly dramatic. It was hidden away on Sky Arts. They did 3 series, each of 6 episodes. I loved it so much that I bought the complete set from the U.S. as it doesn`t appear to be available over here. I also never get fed up with watching "Two and a Half Men". Consistantly funny with an American child actor who not "cute" or twee.

Can see your point with Schneiderlin and Holmes but I wouldn`t say that Svensson falls into the "Passing Game" category. The team today were so far away from the style of play that they were employing in pre-season and for the first league games and I can`t see that these two (as important as they have been) should have made that much difference to the style of play. It was very poor.

Absolutely no sign of the passing game that the team employed earlier in the season. No pattern to the play and no shape to the team. No saves for either keeper (virtually all of Saints shots/chances were straight at their keeper. He didn`t have to move). Too much "hit and hope" from Saints. A Barnsley team that were physical but no better than us. ONLY positive to come from game - didn`t lose. Total Football? Total Shambles IMHO. Well done Northam/Itchen North for keeping going and creating some atmosphere.:mad:

It was him. He used to direct traffic at the bottom of Bullar Road. Rumour was that he had recieved head injuries at some point and was just used for traffic duties and thing like keeping order at the Dell. Real big character.
