I am supposed to be a Miserableoldgit but some people on here do make me laugh. When we beat a top team (which we have on a number of occasions) and the pundits all put it down to the opposition playing badly rather than Saints playing well, they are all up in arms saying that Saints are not getting the credit they deserve, but when it suits the doomsters agenda we get this sort of response.

Am I the only who absolutely hates the transfer window? For some clubs quite exciting but for Saints fans ultimately always a source of extreme frustration. When was the last window when we all said "That's been a good window.....we got it about right?" The last window started off well until we ended up not getting the striker that we were crying out for and were expecting. Seeing our supposed targets going elsewhere is soul destroying.

With the unrest already in our crowd, I really can't see THAT happening!

It will be interesting to see crowd reaction tomorrow if he is involved........

The thing is that unlike a new signing, we already know what he is going to be like. Add to that any crowd reaction to the comments that he made on going to Villa and things could be more "interesting" than potentially exciting....

I wasn't against it (I actually went into the studio at SMS and did an interview with Mark Dennis once), but I think the problem is/was. like now, that off field activities were seen to be taking preference over improving the team.

OK....I couldn't help myself. His actual words were "people will see that we have some really exciting announcements to make over the next few weeks both on the commercial side and on the football side in terms of people we are bringing in that we really, really believe that can take this club forward". Interpret that what how you will. Depends on whether your glass is half full or half empty I guess

I think that his words were actually something like "a couple of exciting weeks with announcements on both the footballing side and off field side of things".....I am probably paraphrasing but can't be bothered to find the recording to list to again. I am sure that someone on here will though....

At least he had some "balls", conning his way into a top tier team!🤣
