nah, i started with that idea and then threw it out when I realsied it meant getting dirtier and having to manually change gear etc. The idea of scooter simplicity appeals at the moment!

thanks guys ... i think i'll have a go at my cbt as a taster and then take it from there! Until I've done that I haven't really a clue what I'm looking for. Am I right in saying that I'd be better avoiding the 2nd hand market seeing as I'm in no way capable of judging the condition of a bike for myself? With new prices being reasonable and depreciation being low compared to a car, surely it's a safe and easy bet to stick to buying new from a reputable dealer right?

cheers. Well the pirce is certainly something that keeps me coming back to it. I want something simple to get from a to b around town when the missus has taken the car out of town to visit family /friends and to get the 2miles or so to work. Being into cars in a childish sort of way I'd want something really special if I were to buy a car, but I'm too tight to spend the £300 a month that would cost me on a finance deal. Spending £2k-£3k on a car is a pretty poor option in my opinion as that will possibly buy me a banger and a headache. So the scooter comes into play. Aside from paying the Vespa premium, are there any other particular brands worth considering? Cheers.

I'm thinking about getting a 125cc scooter, anyone here ride a scooter of some sort (16yr old 50cc riders need not apply)? If so, how do you find it for the daily city run around? Having not read a bike before, am I going to be terrified / freezing, or is it a sensible way to go in terms of getting a cheap 2nd motor vehicle to run alongside a car?

yep, my xbox 360 died once out of warranty and I'm unsure whether it was the red ring fault covered under the extended warranty (I wasn't getting three red lights anyway). I just filled out an online form, received prepaid packaging and sent it in. It was back within a couple of weeks with no charge and no comment on what the nature of the fault was. Microsoft judge your right to free service by the serial number of the console so as long as you register at the time of purchase, you don't have any explaining to do later on.

Good way to go about annoying the season ticket holders from blocks 31 / 32 etc then!

so the whole of the chapel and kingsland shut?

Ignore the fanboys St Lard, you've made a fine choice ;-) TSW doesn't seem representative of the wider public in its favouring of the PS3, so you'll hardly find yourself part of a minority group in owning an Xbox over a PS3.

It's a really odd one keeping the Kingsland closed. I'm not sure what other parts of the stadium are open .. is it everywhere APART from the kingsland?

My stand is obviously better than your stand.

You're a bigger man than me to be admitting that on here. It wasn't because you tried to order the double breakfast was it?

What a load of toss ... hopefully that wasn't the product of your imagination!

If they go out of business, we'll have to open a 'skate stand' at St Marys so they can come and watch some proper football.

Being as sensible and level headed as possible ... I'd say that if there was a straight choice between ultimate destruction for Portsmouth FC or them being allowed a way back by groundsharing with us, I'd wave them cheerio as they disappeared over the horizon, never to be seen again.

That is the point of a pool, yes.

You weren't "just raising the point", you've been going on about it across several threads and now you're doing it here to try and get some attention from the club as well. Just leave it out and let people buy full price tickets as they should do!

Obviously they thought the majority of fans weren't chav enough to do this sort of thing and thought they'd treat us like responsible adults. It only seems to be you who keeps banging on about it anyway.

I can't remember any streets in Rome looking like you'd be able to run an F1 car over them at speed to be honest!

Brilliant ... another millitary related thread in which Delldays starts throwing insults because other posters won't agree with his 'experienced' view.

What a ridiculously negative reaction from you lot! Give the guy a break. I don't endorse the royal family in any way so I have no subjectivity, but he's made a good effort here. As large an effort to see what it must be like for homeless people to sleep rough as he possibly could do, given who he is. Furthermore, I've never even experienced sleeping rough to the degree he has, and I'm assuming most of you are in the same bag, so it's a bit rich to hear you all criticising his efforts from the warmth of your own homes!

Get ready for concert tickets to go thru the roof !

Ticketmaster sell at face value, it's the booking fees that are a little over the top. However, all agents seem to charge booking fees thiese days, unless you can avoid using them and pay for tickets in person instead.
