  1. I can confirm that Benali has not officially moved out of his house at this point in time.
  2. No, is the easy answer. Thereare crummy work arounds, but nothing to preserve the high quality of the original recordings. The firmware won't allow it. You'd have to connect a dvd recorder and record it to that, before transferring the recording to your pc.
  3. ... then they told you to tidy your room more often and that you should do more work for charity right?
  4. Not completely true. The early US phones which were used for 'hands on' features on the internet didn't have the feature enabled, despite the hardware being capable of it. There are now videos of the phone circulating the internet which show multi-touch being used whilst browsing the internet on this phone. People have specualted that these may be EU versions, with one particular video saying that it has been made in Germany. In the past, US versions of handsets (e.g. the Motorola Droid) have had multi-touch switched off, wherease the UK handset has then had the feature enabled. The rumuour is that there's some issue with US patents. UK customers who have just received their phones after ordering direct from Google have reported that there's no multi-touch by default, but I think some are saying you can use a different browser to enable it (seems a little odd to me). Expectations are that the 'official' UK version, due to appear in the Spring and available with a Vodafone service plan, should have multi-touch enabled, although there is no confirmation as yet.
  5. If the rumours are to be believed and Norwich are eying up Lambert, what would you say he has achieved to warrant Prem attention then? I thought he was a relatively new appointment (been with them this season only?) and has done little except establish them as promotion contenders. Bearing in mind they are one of the league's big boys, surely this isn't that special?
  6. With Burnley reportedly looking at Norwich's Lambert as a replacement for Coyle, how long do you think it could be before bigger clubs may come knocking for Pardew? When that time comes, how much faith do you have in Pardew bucking the trend and sticking with Saints, as opposed to seizing the opportunity to jump back in to a Premiership management position? FWIW, I think that if we can make it to the Championship sharpish, we may be able to hold onto him for a little longer with the lure of Prem football only potentially being 'a season away'. I'd be interested to see what would happen if we were still in League One next year but riding high, and an offer came in from a lower Premiership team for him. In an ideal world, perhaps the lure of our financial security and support may help him want to stay, but who knows how strong the lure of a short cut into Premiership mangement could be?
  7. The six were there to have a good look probably.
  8. Can't see them being closed monday, tuesday or, for many, even tomorrow, so you won't have too much to get worked up about. ;-)
  9. ahhh "mee" as opposed to "my" right?
  10. I don't think it will have anything that blows existing htc smartphones or the iphone out of the water since it's largely based on existing HTC technology but with a faster processor and bigger screen. These things eat more power if anything so I'd be gobsmacked if it were to offer battery life that was radically improved upon the current crop of smartphones.
  11. Can you explain how you can do the first bit in bold without having a mobile me subscription? If I understood you correctly, you seem to be saying I can acess files stored on a home computer using 3g, as opposed to just across my own wifi network. Mobileme looks good, but at the heart of it is the sort of active sync that Google will let you do for free. I know you get a bit more functionality with it, in terms of cloud storage space etc, but again it goes down the Apple route of charging a premium for something that other companies can offer to some extent for free.
  12. We could have a go at taking the moral high ground if the 'narrator' didn't sound like a complete idiot himself.
  13. Swotted up on TSW.
  14. Has Skacel signed yet?
  15. I trust, and sincerely hope, that was ironic.
  16. This is a key point which I hadn't appreciated. I see what they're getting at; many people trying to book two seats, wouldn't deliberately leave one seat between there party and the next taken seats. This would result in an uneven spread of seats being used and would make it tough for people trying to buy groups of two or more tickets at a later date. The only solution would be for the club would be to try and offer a seat booking system which has been customised by its providers to prevent this sort of seat selection behaviour. I wonder if this sort of thing wouldn't be available 'off the shelf' and might therefore be deemed to be prohibitively expensive for the club to provide. Perhaps a sensible compromise would be to offer a system that allows you to specify row alongside block, but then preselects seats for you.
  17. sweet!
  18. Can I say that I don't get it? What's the"my" bit on the end about?
  19. hands busy?
  20. I know the answer Matthew, perhaps I worded the post ineffectively. I was trying to raise the pertinent point that without adding this to the announcement, the ticket office can expect to be fielding telephone calls from a few people throughout the day. It will be a number of calls they could probably have reduced if they'd bothered to put a reminder on the notice.
  21. Should have gone to Tesco and saved yourself a tenner then. I'm still not convinced to be honest. I'm making the smartphone decision as we speak and just don't know what to buy. I'm torn between Android variants, the iphone and a Blackberry of some sort. The Android phones generally have tight data restrictions on Vodafone and Orange, whilst I'm conerned that the T-Mobile coverage is unpredictable at best. This leaves Andriod phones sort of out of the question until the Nexus ONe appears on Vodafone perhaps. The thing that I can't get my head round with the iphone is that it looks under featured alongside some of the Andriod offerings. Multi-tasking and social network integration are two key areas where it reportedly lags behind and when you couple this with the hefty price tag, it doesn't automatically present itself as a clearcut leading contender. If I pay a premium, I expect the product to deserve that premium and prove its worth. I know little Blackberrys, execpt that the Bold 9700 is the only one with 3G that I've seen and it therefore carries an iphone-esque price point contract-wise, albeit without the handset charge upfront. Some features appeal, Blackberry messenger would come in handy as I'm buying two identical handsets at once, but the little screen seems odd and leaves me with concerns about the browsing experience. All in all, I wonder if now isn't a good time. With a summer iphone refresh around the corner and some key Android phones arriving in the Spring, perhaps we're on the verge of a big change in what the smartphones will be offering. Mind you, I guess you can always wait for the next big thing!
  22. A hint of what to expect from the summer iphone refresh perhaps.
  23. I agree with everything you said. It's worthwhile pointing out how rarely this has happened, like you've done, before people start moaning about why we don't have under soil heating etc. No mention of ticket siaution though. Can we assume that all orginal tickets will remain valid AND we can take a full refund instead if we can't attend the new date? I'm sure this will be the case but it would have been helpful if they'd added that to the annoucement as I'm sure some people won't know what to expect.
  24. should try it for your sub
