Yes, that may be part of it. Doncaster won't have any intention of rushing the deal through with him being a key player. Saints don't want to be held to ransom just because they are a 'rich' club.
-
Well, it needed that adjective as some people round here seem to have forgotten what a fact is! See the OP for further info ...
-
we had real facts about Stock, the OP has obvsiouly chosen to ignore them. There was contact, there was positive feeling that a deal could be done, Stock was hopeful. Those are the facts.
-
We know it was him on Facebook and we know from him that there was contact between our clubs and that things looked positive. That was last Sunday evening though! To me it looks like we're getting into the tense stage now. Preliminary chats obviously revealed a difference in how we each value him and no official bid has been forthcoming. That doesn't mean it's the end of it by a long way. You only have to look at the Seabourne deal to know that... I still think there's more to come.

"Will he be unveiled on the pitch this weekend?"
-
I'm waiting for somebody to mention the most recent fans forum when travel to away games for disabled supporters was raised as an issue with NC .... That would give us an opportunity to discuss whether NC is a hotheaded character or not.

"Does anybody know if Stock has signed yet?"
-
Careful ... with comments like that my prediction that every thread on TSW will turn into a doom-laden rant about the state of our club and Britain today gets a little closer to the mark!!!

Sainsburys and M&S

heh, good point!

Muckers, I know you're new, but you haven't 'got' this posting lark. You need to start threads which appear positive, but can easily be twisted into a doom-laden rant about the club, the fans and the state of Britain today. How is anybody going to be able to moan about your heart warming story? Don't you know that we're going to miss out on the playoffs and implode as a result?!?!?! Nice story by the way.
-
Exactly ... and from Stock as well

I think Romsey is similar to Portsmouth in many ways.

Well, we know that's a lie.

i thought you had been banned

I guess that might not be too far off the mark but things get complicated if Stock really is out of contract at the end of the season. If he's saying that he wants to sign for Saints and that he will not sign a new contract with Doncaster, surely he has little value. We don't know if he is saying this, but his desire and his contractual status will have a significant effect upon the valuation each club puts on his head.
-
I expect it's just a rumour resulting from PArds' comments to Solent that "our valuations are somewhat different". I think this one will run to the very end of the window.

The Apple site will confirm but it comes down to processor, camera quality, added video camera on 3gs, a compass, amount of storage and voice control

We need an 'old head' in midfield who can provide a link to the strikers

One thing that sticks in my mind was that when I communicated with Stock last week he said the move "looks likely". I don't think he would have said that unless the clubs had already had some discussion about fees and I would hope that Pards' bringing the discussion into the public is merely a deliberate tactic to try and get the finer parts of the negotiating done. One thing's for sure, Stock is not going to come cheap. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be our most expensive signing under Pardew.

This season is all about stabilising our position remember?

Absolutely rubbish... ... I want a refund ... ... for the ****ty performance shown by the forum today. Shouldn't be falling on its arse like that. ;-)
