  1. Watching both the Peterborough and Brighton highlights, two things struck me: firstly, pace through the middle (which we lack) and secondly, particularly in BHA's case, an almost pathological persistence and desire to win. The team could do a lot worse than watch the Brighton game, if nothing else to see how to see a game out.

  16. You also said poor results. Tranmere was both a poor result and poor performance, but it is nonetheless a fact that we have had only ONE defeat in 11. Why always search for the cloud rather than the silver lining?
  17. "recent poor results"? One defeat in what...11 games?
  18. Ha ha! Touché!
  19. SSN interviewing County's Krystian Pearce.....'Krystian'? Really? Do they just allow random spellings of any name now? Jeez, no wonder things are going down the pan....
  20. Finished: County 1 Charlton 0
  21. "A Communion of Saints" (tis the official collective noun)
  22. Under whom we lost 2-1 at soon to be relegated Gillingham; 2-1 at Colchester; 2-3 at home to Brighton etc, etc. What does all this prove? That managers win games, draw games and occasionally lose games. Pardew was no Messiah, and lost many games which we 'should' have won. Adkins, as I have mentioned elsewhere, has lost only 4 league games if you discount MK Dons away - the same as Poyet. If you could accuse Adkins of anything, it is that he hasn't yet turned us into the superforce many believe we should be. If he hadn't come to us 8 games or so into the season, and had been with us since last June, we might already have got to the level we aspire to.
  23. Discounting the MK Dons away game, which he cannot be blamed for, Adkins' Saints have lost 4 league games.....exactly the same as Poyet's Brighton. The real difference between Saints and Brighton is the 3 games where Dean Wilkins' influence was primary (Swindon, Rochdale, MK Dons) all of which we lost.
  24. And in 8 games time we could be second or first in that table. What matters is the league table at 5.45 pm on May 7th. At that point I will happily disect the season to see who is to blame / to be congratulated. Pointless doing anything before then (no offence to the OP with whose views I normally concur ;-) )
