But those aren't answers to my questions, are they? And, by your logic, we should go for players and, if we can't get them, go for other players who, by definition, must be second choice and therefore inferior. How is that decisive? Your proposal simply advocates the Lowe approach you roundly criticised in one of your earlier posts on this thread: lots of substandard players rather than a few quality players. Pipe on standby; will await proper answers to my original questions. -

I would like simple answers to these questions: 1. How did we 'fanny around'? In what way? 2. How should we be more 'decisive and aggressive'? Tell Bristol City to lower their ridiculous asking price for Maynard? Hold a gun to Billy Sharp's head to convince him he really should move? Ignore Fontaine's failed medical? Hope he doesn't end up like Delgado? In the absence of any semi-reasonable responses to the above I will take your silence as conclusive evidence of the total invalidity of your 'arguments', and the fact that you are simply a wind-up merchant. -
"Netbusters" on Sky will show goals on 28th and, I would imagine, after the NYE and NYD +1 games too. Goals only (and, irritatingly, set to music) but better than nothing.

Couldn't say, I'm afraid Trousers. Just thought it interesting that the same positive sounds were coming from a few unrelated sources / posters. Time will inevitably tell I suppose.... -

Lots of noise from different sources on the striker thread that Sharp to Saints in early Jan is pretty much a done deal. -
Most sensible and rational post of the day; I doff my cap to you, sir.

There were two I could discern: "Stand up if you've ****ged his wife" And "you're **** and your wife's a slag" Not pleasant, really.

Saints V Blackpool Match Thread and Reaction
InvictaSaint replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
Be that as it may, worth noting that we would not have equalised when we did had Lallana not skipped his way around a couple of players on the edge of the box before the ball eventually reached Richardson who crossed for Rickie to score. -
This is the problem with people like you; everything you see is either black or White. Either you're an insightful realist (or however you perceive yourself) or the absolute antithesis: a "happy clappy". And, in true Tory tradition, you use alternative opinions as a stick to beat people with. You may even be the complete fu.c.ktard who told me at the end not to clap my team off "because they're rubbish and Adkins is ****". Sad. Terribly sad.

Hear, hear.

Seconded! Whenever I see him on tv, I just want to shout. What talent does he actually have and what on earth does he do??! He's like a throwback to the 60s where some bloke with a medicine ball just stood on the sidelines pretending to be talented / useful.

Keith Southern also out for Blackpool after undergoing surgery for testicular cancer last week. Good miss, but best wishes to the bloke for a quick recovery.

Yes, was at both games, though from where I live (Medway) Donny is slightly nearer and Bristol slightly further away than these places are for denizens of Southampton. Is my decision to remain positive rather than join the doom and gloom brigade now more valid? -

Q: what is more depressing than seeing your team lose 2 games out of 3? A: reading the depressing, wrist-slitting negative drivel of people who cannot find a balanced perspective, who cannot enjoy the fact that we are almost half way through the season and top of the Championship, and who seemingly only come out of the woodwork when things go slightly wrong to demonstrate that they gain absolutely no pleasure from their short sojourn on planet earth, other than in being miserable pains in the arse. -

Is this where the Season goes sour?

Blimey, that second half was quick. Is the game over then? -
Cork and Jos on Twitter: Bad result today and performance. Good thing we got a game tues to forget it. Thanks again for the massive support, despite the result. Twitter for iPad • 26/11/2011 18:03 Back with both feet on ground again! Have something to show the next games. Hate deflection goals, gutted. Great support though THANKS!
