Twin set and pearls, tweed skirt and court shoes that would show them............................. Oh dear I have just posted on the wrong forum: blooming iPad!!!

Sounds like a very sound investment then. "when's that Forren chap going to be ready for a first team start?!!". "He is now Mr Chairman, he is already one of the top players on FM13" "That's excellent news, I will see that he gets a bonus in his next pay packet".

Would you take a point from tomorrow if offered today?
John Boy Saint replied to 110_Persaint's topic in The Saints
With our label as being one of the best teams to have played here there and everywhere of late a win is the minimum. So I shall decline your offer of a point today. Just keep our foot on the gas, score early and look to score again get to 2-0 and it will stop the QPR Stamford Bridge bus being parked in front of their goal, then us being undone by the ball over the top of our 10 in their half for Tarabt or Remy (if he is back) to run onto. We can't show any mercy. -
Deleted: politically incorrect post!

I would say the number plate might be a clue, to either Gaston or a midlife crisis toy for Nicola although the latter would have a UK plate. if it is Gastons then it's about right, a lot of noise and promised performance but when the road gets a little twisty slightly disappointing. Back to the game the fly in the ointment is Caesar in goal for them, the Brazilian national team have obviously sent him to QPR for intensive goalkeeping practise ahead of them hosting the World Cup. But if we keep playing this after you Claude pit pat around the box rather than lighting a few missiles he will be happy all day.

Nice to see we are consistent!! -
Lack of awareness is the top and tail of it, always remember Graham Taylor on those Celebrity Footy games telling the Celebs that the pros are always taking mental photographs of who is where especially with the opposition. A few times this season it appears Fox still has a 35mm film camera that keeps running out of film. Blasting the ball at an acute angle straight into Jos is unforgivable, instead of realising he had time to take a touch and launch it or chest back to Boruc. The alarm bell first went of with him this season when he thought it wise to head the ball towards the centre of the box at the Etihad for the Citeh winner: at the home of the champions that was like watching Shark week on TV then slicing your hand open and jumping into a tank of Sharks. Adkins obviously saw the flaws early on and was willing to risk a nipper over an international who had been first choice all the previous season. Shame really but the Premier League is a cruel division with little margin for error or sentiment.

Bloody Steak, well done was my first choice now increasingly juicy seems to be the way: just wondering when I will cross the threshold into Tartare!? -

Living near the "border" town of Basingstoke it was amusing to see swathes of empty blue seats at Reading over Kamaras shoulder with 10 minutes still to play, methinks there will be a drop off of hooped shirts in town for the rest of the weekend: sadly only to be replaced with Chelsea blue.

Lawrie Mac tells the story that when Saints signed Kevin Keegan Saints doubled the ticket prices and no one batted an eyelid. Would have been interesting to see the thread on here if the infernal net had existed way back then. I recall paying 90p as a nipper back in 1978 when we kicked of in the then Division 1, my ticket for the League cup final at Wembley the following Spring was a humongous £2.50. Bit scary compared to JPT final tickets for 4 of us in Club Wembley costing over £200.

I had a piece published in the programme 10 years ago about this subject. My youngest daughter always called the migration of the "ants" at 40 minutes for beer and 85 to escape the rush. We played Man U on the last day of August 2003 it was a 2pm kick off for pay per view. There was absolutely no sound reason to bail early, but as the clock clicked from 84:59 to 85:00 my daughter called the exodus. The game was poised at 0-0 on 88:00 Le Saux put in a corner, Ormerod distracted Howard and Beattie rose majestically to nod the ball into the net, the roar was immense those walking away from SMS must have been gutted!!

Happy Birthday That is an illustrious judging panel, hats off to you for getting something out of them. Keep up the good work.

At what point are the club going to invest in Dyson airblades?
John Boy Saint replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
Turning the hot water on to come out of the Hot taps would be a treat, the last few weeks in the Chapel facilities it has been like an away fan with cold from both taps!! Then no Ketchup for your hot dog, sorry hot Puppy, and increasingly smaller cups of coffee: methinks with the increasingly shoddy concourse customer service Dyson air blades are in the "not in this Millenium" category.
