To answer the bit no one has answered yet - seems to have done alright for Villa created a good situation for Villa as looks like McGinn(?) wasn’t just going to lay down for a nipper to take his place so upped his game, Matt’s opportunity came and was taken with both hands and stayed in when McGinn was fit again. Matt got injured in the West Midlands derby yesterday and McGinn rolled his sleeves up a got stuck in, despite losing. Villa have 2 pieces of jigsaw that fit in the hole they are supposed to.

Maybe that’s the plan - to ultimately reduce the value of the remaining 20% Gao has agreed to buy.

About right having a chip at Walker - the bloke can't normally hit a Cows backside with a Banjo in front of goal - then for his one time per the season he manages to get him and his Banjo in exactly the right place at precisely the right time..............it does also sum up our luck of late. Still as always a good read.

What was frustrating yesterday was the ball being fed to Redmond, more often than not he would head off up the pitch but by the Halfway line he was dithering and would instantly get swamped by city players and dispossessed as he realised he was on his own, instead of backing himself and burning on up the pitch, which would have still drawn City players to him but Armstrong, Ings possibly Valery would have caught up to give him a pass option. This happened more than once or twice which resulted in Ings and Armstrong just sitting tight as they knew the ball was going to be recycled back at us with the usual City intensity. It would be good to see Djenepo get a run as, you can see he doesn’t need very much time by comparison to Redmond in thinking what his next move will be.

I watched midweek on the the cracking ripple stream with what must be a 4K quality picture - at the final whistle the camera was in on Ralph and he looked like he hadn’t slept since Friday. A 0-9 record hammering has to haunt you as a manager

I thought Playing PEH at left back actually made our midfield less clunky and clumsy letting Romeu and JWP get on with it and having an out through Armstrong to Ings and Redmond, not that there was much chance of implementing it but when we did - hey presto! Be interesting to see if RH try’s that again v Everton and whether Bertrand just gets allowed to swan back in v Arsenal.

That really is an issue, watched the Liverpool v Arsenal game last night both teams peppered with nippers, I was puffed out just watching the pace was electric until just past the 85th minute.

Aside from Coppers looking about 12 and that my Driving Licence expires in under 20 years! (actually that driving licence thing is pretty sobering) Getting an injury of some sort and the discomfort rumbling on for months, when previously after a week you had forgotten that you had done yourself a mischief. The Apprentice stunned me the other night, it was my favourite challenge week - the treasure hunt. One of the items they had to procure was "a copy of Alice in Wonderland printed before the Second World War" all these so called bright sausages sat around looking pretty blankly at each other trying to work out what year WWII started!!! I think Claude and Karen's faces mirrored my own.
