  1. They earned their corn today - everyone thought we were up for a severe battering and we nearly upset the apple cart. Defended like devils against an obscenely expensive assembled capable team. Build on it lads
  2. That was deffo JWP territory
  3. What advantage was that ref - bloody twisters
  4. Phew nearly paid for that brainfart
  5. Redmond believe in Yourself lad and just keep running away with it, stop dilly dallying
  6. Yup Confirmed that Ward-Prowse is a steaming pile!!
  7. That really is an issue, watched the Liverpool v Arsenal game last night both teams peppered with nippers, I was puffed out just watching the pace was electric until just past the 85th minute.
  8. ...........Bugger got another!! Just talking to a customer on the phone, she obviously had a cold. Reminded me that I had a text about 2 weeks ago telling me to make my appointment for a Flu jab!! I ain't ever had one of them before!!!..........text or offer of a Flu jab!
  9. Aside from Coppers looking about 12 and that my Driving Licence expires in under 20 years! (actually that driving licence thing is pretty sobering) Getting an injury of some sort and the discomfort rumbling on for months, when previously after a week you had forgotten that you had done yourself a mischief. The Apprentice stunned me the other night, it was my favourite challenge week - the treasure hunt. One of the items they had to procure was "a copy of Alice in Wonderland printed before the Second World War" all these so called bright sausages sat around looking pretty blankly at each other trying to work out what year WWII started!!! I think Claude and Karen's faces mirrored my own.
  10. Did he ever get round to signing for us? ...........add in Telfs and Jermaine and you could well be onto something!
  11. Wow what a game the Liverpool v Arsenal game is - both teams stuffed with nippers, both teams playing at a million miles an hour, and goals galore. Some absolutly cracking strikes
  12. That’ll be 15 years ago and their first season in the City of Manchester stadium and we had half price tickets because the short changed us on allocation the previous season for the last game at Maine road Saints dipped in their pockets and did half prize travel think nearly everyone who attended took up that option. Quite funny going home the coaches were wafted at a good pace up the A57 with a police convoy through all the red lights a few random shoppers heading home couldn’t believe their luck to have found themselves between a couple of coaches and out of the City faster than they ever had before on a Saturday tea time.
  13. As no one seems to have started one yet Bit like "can we play you every week" has come true with this lot.......... Given the choice the last team you would choose!! Goodness knows what we will get as a scoreline, as they will no doubt shuffle a few of their aces back into their squad, but lets hope we can keep it sensible. .........hey you never know as Greavsie use to say "its a funny old game".
  14. Sadly its not instant, I drive 30k miles a year and use the motorways quite a bit, increasingly more and more smart motorways. The amount of times I have seen stranded cars on the inside lane of the M3, M25 in Kent, M1 with the occupants standing on the verge and yet no Red X or warning is astounding, the M3 seems particularly slow in switching on the signs. Apparently when the Red X is in operation if you are recorded as passing 3 without exiting that lane you are now likely to see a fine and points drop through your letter box...............but if the M3 can't spot a stranded car in less than a minute fat chance they are going to spot the same car going past 3 Red X's. Then you add into this the use of the big Matrix signs currently telling us to get our paperwork ready for the 1st November, the amount of times I see the speed limit down to 60mph and the messages "Report of Pedestrians" Report of Debris" "Report of Animals" ("Report of On coming Vehicle" focuses the mind somewhat) some bellend no doubt who rides a bicycle to work and doesn't drive a car thinks that this will make drivers slow down, but after 10-15-20 miles of seeing this same message and no sign of Pedestrians, Debris, or Animals it becomes a bit like the Boy who Cried Wolf so when a Red Cross does actually come on over a lane most people just go "really?".............but then like middle lane plodders so many people I see driving along on the motorway have a fixed 5 mile stare You could have a Rainbow Coloured Unicorn fly across the motorway 1/4 of a mile in front of them and they wouldn't see it: just like they don't see the Police car coming up behind them at 100+mph with every single light flashing then sitting on their bumper for 1/2 a mile!! The M42 & M6 round Birmingham pretty much operates well because the hard shoulder is still defined by a solid line, when the sign says to use the hard shoulder you do notice people drive on it with some trepidation, unlike the M3 where they have just gotten rid of the hard shoulder altogether there is no safety net.
  15. As I mentioned in the match thread, our confidence looked shot to bits which is no surprise. Some have asked why more of the nippers weren’t played, I guessing there is no point giving them a run out against such a potent force like City and getting their confidence shredded. On the stream I had at the final whistle the camera was on Ralph for a while, he looked like he hadn’t slept since Friday!
  16. How can a professional footballer with at least an hour to set himself for a shot squirt one so far off target!
  17. I know this is the League cup, but Brentfords new ground is looking pretty smart.....................we look shot to fuc
  18. Blimey you can get rid of Anal Hemorrhoids and fissures in 1 week without surgery!!............Oh and I am off down town because its teeming with fit asian birds looking for chaps over 35! Got to be better than watching footie
  19. This put a different slant on things in my head. The chap next door is a Leicester fan has been since a nipper. I found out this morning he had been to see them in Cup games but never in his 60 odd years been to a league game, Friday night was the first league game he had been to! He went along with a friend who has been a Saints ST holder for years and took him along as a bit of a treat and boy what a treat it was for him, especially as sadly he doesn't have long left with us, as he has terminal bowel cancer and is trying whatever he can to see out this Christmas! Whilst this doesnt alter the frustration of the result as a Saints fan, the fact that my neighbour was there to see "such a surreal match" just took the edge off, as this top bloke had a bit of the sparkle thats been missing from him recently.
  20. They were all getting yet another tattoo........well except Redmond who would be getting a thick ear off his Mum if he came home with one of them.
  21. The "Pathway" to the first team looks to have been blocked off again, as has been mentioned the same team get picked and no "kids" even getting rotated through the bench. So a "whats the point" attitude can quickly set itself in. This is going to be an interesting few days.
