  1. I wasnt there and no highlights show enough of the game to show how bad he was. The comments of those that were there are enough though and Pards was pretty damming in his after match interview. He even said the Ref was bad for both sides which suggests it wasnt sour grapes and the ref truely was bad. Question still remains though, What should happen with games that have been ruined/decided by the ref based on wrong/poor decissions? If a player gets pulled up for something the camera caught him do but the ref didnt he can still get a red or yellow card which will in turn effect our later games by not having a player available. If a ref does something wrong and a game is won based on that action then nothing the FA do to him will effect the losing team on the day. What would it take to force FIFA into using TV footage during a game? Should a club take the leagues or the FA to court for damages? Say we miss out on the play offs by 1 point. That penalty decission could be argued cost us that point and it was the ref's poor/bad decissions that made it so we should be entitled to damages. Im not trying to say that our season is based on that one moment but this kind of thing happens in at least 1 game every week. The season we dropped out of the prem, how many dodgy decissions cost us points that could have kept us up that year? The current set up is not fair when so much rides on clubs futures. Its FIFA's duty to make the competitions fair and true yet because there is nothing set up to change the results then no-one see's worth in challenging it.
  2. Ive just watched it over and over again and it looks to me that he closed him down and tried to get him to go away from goal. He didnt get there and then decide to stick his leg out. It was all in the same movment. I was always told to show the opo the way to go by facing the way you want them to go. I never quite understood it as a kid cause i thought the opo would just go the other way and I would have to turn round again. But looked like Seaborne was doing what I never got. Fair enough he went over Seabornes leg but it wasnt a foul.
  3. I dont like blaming the ref in any match but from what people have said it seems hard not to on this occasion. OK it also seems we didnt do quite enough to get the win ourselves and it was a below par performance from our team but its times like these you need the officials to give correct decissions and if that had happened then the result may have been very different. I dont know how policing the officials works especially in the lower leagues. Do they have someone watching the ref to evaluate him? If the camera catches a player doing something that the ref didnt there is usually something done about it later. What happens to the ref? And if anything does happen to him how does it effect us? It seems that no matter how much the officials cokc things up no-body calls for things to be done as ultimatly the 3 points have been won or lost and they dont matter any more. A game has never been replayed or points been awarded in retrospec because of a wrong decission. So clubs have a moan and then move on. IMO something needs to be done about it to improve the game at all levels. Cant see what can happen though.
  4. Maybe not the Prem so much then but the FA are watching closely so im sure there is room for someone to step in and make things easier for the Blue Few. But there are still plenty of questions to be asked on what happens should poopy disapear which would no doubt effect the decission of the Prem chairmen. If they go and its decided that only 2 teams go down then it would put the lower teams in just a little more danger than now. It would effect the teams that took points off poopy more as it may shorten the gap to teams above.
  5. From Poopy? not allot, As Bucks Saint said a few posts back they would probably only be up for around 30% of what they are owed if they are lucky. But if they believe letting Poopy stay alive will only increase the debt and not realistically get them paid aything at all then 30% is better than yet another promise to pay F All.
  6. Sorry I didnt mean that the Prem and FA are above them but that its very likly that the Prem and FA will at some point jump in to help bail them out. Say they ditch the -9 points and Poopy somehow escape relegation. They are then secured more money next season which the Prem could set aside for HMRC or something. Or if they are allowed to sell players outside the window in order to pay off the debts that are attached to the WUO. While the Prem and FA wont stand up against HMRC they can and probably will bend there own rules so they dont have to deal with watching one of there clubs go bust. Either situation is not good for them but I would think they would rather not deal with having a club drop out of the league completly rendering there games and points lost and won meaningless.
  7. Thanks Bucks, So it sounds like the courts are treading carefully as being a very public case they wouldnt want to seem to be unfair. So by giving Poopy there extra time any rulling will be made based on Poopy having every chance possible. What ever the outcome I guess the losing party will contest it in what ever way possible. If this was any other business would they have given this many chances?
  8. Thats what I am thinking. They are using the Poopy case to ram the message home to others who are behind or are at risk. But I was wondering at what point would they think the message has hit home? Would they feel the need to go the whole hog and get them liquidated or would they be happy with admin knowing that they have shown they are prepared to go all the way?
  9. So you think HMRC wont be happy unless Poopy is stopped? I can guess that when HMRC want to play hard ball then there oposition is in trouble, but for something so high profile as a football club, backed by the Prem and the FA they may be happy to settle for more of a moral victory once they have shaken everything up a little. To be raised up the pecking order in creditor status with football clubs and a warning to other clubs of what is possible should finances be mis-managed. I didnt think its anything against poopy or its workers in particular but more against the system that gives them such a low priority. If they are treating Poopy as just another company that continually cant pay there way then I guess it is a little more personal on there part.
  10. yeah I know primarily they are after there money and to be raised higher up the queue in creditors but I am wondering what they will accept and be reasonably happy with? If the judge rules the admin is OK and lets Poopy get on with it I would have thought HMRC will be even more hacked off. So going throught he various different outcomes at what point would HMRC be coming out thinking they have a victory?
  11. Any idea what HMRC actually want out of this? I mean what would they consider to be a result on there part?
  12. Blimey he has a very selective outlook. They had the chance to sell some of there better players to clear some of there debt but didnt The players they sold, it seems they could have got more for them but didnt And on top of that they bring in Tosic on a free and O'hara on loan to name but 2 so I dont get how they did everything they could to make there financial situation any better. If anything they should be stung for more points for taking the P1$$. We had a valid reason to contest the points deduction but if it had worked we would have looked like we took the P1$$ as we would have wriggled out of it on a technicality. At no point did we try and get out of it by saying we tried to sort things out by not buying anyone. lol
  13. Cheers for that. Just made my morning. Is that the 1st time Papa has done his celebration?
  14. Well happy!! Confidence must be amazing now and if they want any chance to reach the play-offs then this kind of form is what they need. Well done the lads!
  15. How many of them are his old team mates though? Its almost like a new team!
  16. Despite living in Torquay not many people speak about them so I guess they are not doing that well. lol. Last I heard was that he was doing good when played on the right then due to a few injurys he got switched to the left and didnt do as well. He is with them till the end of the season and warming there bench at the mo so he may be being given a riality check as he prolly thinks he is a big time international player that gets his own way. My lad is up there for the Crew game and im invited. Get to meet some players and have a look round so will try and get some info on what he thinks will be his career path.
  17. just had a look at the line ups for Torquay to see if Jake Thomson is getting a game and saw that Yoann Folly is on the subs bench for DDagenham & Redbridge. The same folly that was with us and looked a good prospect?
  18. I dont get how Ed Chaimberlin can stay so calm sitting there when Saints are playing like brazilian red arrows FFS! He is far to professional to be reporting on such a passionate sport
  19. lol I only just heard sky sports guy saying its 3-0 and we are like the red arrows and the wife friggin paused the tv so she could go on the phone!
  20. I think that was what he was saying when he mentioned Falcondrones many recent owners. Chainrai may well now own it but a few words in the press and a few business suits doesnt do enough to prove it. I guess he will now prove he does own it and HMRC will question the fact that he took ownership after the WUP's court date only to try and protect his investment and to control what the administrator can administrate. 3 possibles from what I can guess, 1. Chainrai does now own Falcondrone and he has provided funds for the chosen administrators to conduct the business for the remainder of the season while stepping back and leaving them to it. They in turn will have a cat in hells chance of selling the business while satisfying 75% of the creditors. So while the club might still exist there will be a very big chance of a massive points deduction when they start league 1 next season. 2. Chainrai does now own Falcondrone but he expects the chosen administrators to be his pupet while he creams as much of hiss investment out of poopy as he can. Courts will have a fit and take action against the above parties but also appoint an administrator to try and salvage something from the mess. 3. Chainrai doesnt really own Falcondrone and although he lent money to Falcondrones owners he is not a direct creditor to Poopy nor is he there owner so the WUP will be back in effect and the courts will decide if Admin is the right course of action and if they do, they will appoint an administrator that wont give a rats ass about Chainrai and his gang. If they think its too far gone then the WUO will finsih them off. I cant see anyway that will leave a smile on the fishy few's faces to be honest.
  21. isnt that the 90% what Chainrai took control of when his loan repayments were missed? The thing is, before he took control he was a creditor but since he took control he is the owner. As the owner can he put the club into admin while the WUP was in place? If he stayed on the outside he would have been in a better position to play the admin card. Is that the jist of it?
  22. it does seem like HMRC are just sending Poopy 1 hospitol pass after another and its only a matter of time before they cop it with both barrels. I dont get however how its only HMRC that seem to want to fight there corner. How many other clubs and people have Poopy stiched up? If any of this is proved to be down to Poopy fiddling the books then the rest of the prem and even clubs that have been relegated should be screeming for something to be done. Poopys points for the last 4 seasons could be questioned as its been obvious that they have been buying players they had no way of paying for that long. Had they acted in the right manner they wouldnt have had the players that won them the FA cup and also kept them in the league. Other clubs lost there chance to win the FA cup due to there cheating and other clubs have been relegated based on the same. With that in mind its suprising that other clubs are happy to keep quiet or even happy to back them up with offers of loans and so on.
  23. Ah so they are questioning it but not directly. Sounds like they are setting up for the next question which will be "mr Judge, Can you now tell this bunch of idiots to get stuffed and can you get things done correctly so we can Wind this pathetic club up?" Well would be nice if the Judge is as much of a Saint as HMRC is. lol
  24. Is that something they were trying to argue today? I mean the legality of Chainrai being able to put them into admin? If so, Brilliant
