  1. You know the saints player comentary is just the radio solent comentary dont ya? If saints handed it back to the BBC to broadcast on the interweb it would no doubt be faultless. I still cant believe so many people are paying for a substandard version of what essentially is a licence fee paid service. The more people that refuse to pay for it the more they might do about providing a service worth paying for.
  2. im glad we can laugh about it now. Imagine walking up to SMS and it still being there!!!!! I wonder where it is now? Will it turn up one day in some Saints museum after we have won the champions league for the 3rd time? Or has it been melted down and turned into the pipes that feed water to my toilet?
  3. To be fair to those that quoted these and the quotes above, They were hardly going to say different when they were either trying to get there own way or trying to make everyone think the right decissions had been made. I cant see how anyone went to look at that statue and actually thought it was that good but with the money already spent someone had to speak out and try to big it up. If it was me I would have left it to someone else but the someone thought it was best that he did it so he did and we can all laugh now. I havnt seen any club unvial a management team and say they are undoubtedly the worst thing that has ever happened to the club and only compliment each other when downing another drink from the back of the company limo. Bad decissions allways look funnier in hindsight.
  4. Ah fury muff. Cant believe this thread is still going to be honest. lol
  5. I was singing OWTS to the tune of the national anthem. Would have looked a bit silly if I was on the TV at that point so prolly a good job they chose you.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. If the boo'ing was that vocal and noticable then surly there is someone on here that either boo'd or knows someone that boo'd NC. Would be nice to know why they did it (if they did)
  7. Although I dont disagree, I cant see Carlton Cole bagging 30+ goals at league 1 level. Cant see Lambert bagging 20+ goals at Prem level either mind but I suppose that shows the level they both shine at.
  8. I think had he scored the same number of goals at CCC level and bagged a load against Prem teams in a couple of cup runs there may be some millage in this, but 30 odd goals at League 1 and nearly 30 years old I will be suprised if he ever gets anywhere near an england shirt in the rest of his career.
  9. I was on the telle when Carlisle had there corner in the 1st half. Well my arm was as I waved to my kids at home lol.
  10. Im glad I am not the only person to have a gripe about Wembley. Inside the stadium pitch side I was impressed. Looking around at so many seats and to watch them filled with Saints fans was amazing and had me smiling from ear to ear. What I wasnt happy with was the constant excuses about non arrival of tickets only to ev entually have to get them from Wembley ticket office. Happy to finally have them in our hands we went to the turnstyles only to find out the tickets were blocked and to then be accused of having forged tickets. nearly an hour later we were finally sorted out and let in with another batch of tickets straight from the forgery that was Wembley ticket office. Didnt have a look round inside till half time but was pretty hacked off to queue the whole time to find out that beer was no longer being served just before I got to the front. Ordered a large coke and went to pay with my card to be told they dont take cards at any of the machines. Looking above my head there was a ******* big sign saying they do accept cards. The "team leader" said there was naff all that could be done and they had put the wrong signs up. Looked like they had been there a while so I was miffed as to why no-one had either removed the signs or sorted out the effing tills. Toilets were awful and there was barely room to fit behind the row of guys trying to take a leek to get to a space when one was available. I guess they forgot to fit the conveyer belt flooring in so men could join at the end and hope they have finished by the time the run out of room to P in. There was only 2 cubicles in the same lavs and I was even more supised to see that was the only gents open in the block I was in. For a national stadium that is meant to deal with massive events it was pretty poor in certain area's and that just left me thinking the event would have been better somewhere else.
  11. you might have been sat near me then cause there was 3 or 4 guys at the front that spent more time looking back at us waving there arms about then they did watching the game. That only encouraged the knob sat in front of us to not only stand up so we had to stand up to see the game but also to stand on his chair and give it the biggun to I dont know who. My friends 8 year old was sat right behind him so she didnt have a chance to see when he stood up let alone when he stood on his chair. As for the Mexican wave, I thought it was fun and from where I was sat it looked pretty impressive as mexican waves go. Only really got going on the top tier and was funny to see it stop every time it got to the Blue few who were not enjoying the afternoon as much as we were. Found out later that the waves were started in the block one of my bro's was sat and they all had great fun getting it going. Its the type of thing that is fun at Wembley but I wouldnt want to see it at SMS.
  12. Speaking to a few people I went with yesterday and they heard some boo's around the same time as NC was on the screen. Unfortunatly Lord Malwaaaanker was walking out onto the pitch at the same time and we presumed the boo's were to him.
  13. Maybe thats the problem then. If harsher punishments were dealt out for just throwing a punch or stone then maybe less would do it. Can hardly expect Football events to be treated as any other events when the history of violence in football is far more evedent than violence at Take That concerts or England v Wales rugby.
  14. TBH I thought he was injured? Harding and Mills are our 1st and 2nd choice so makes sense to ship him off.
  15. Many teams's in the lower leagues budget to buy when the windows are open so may not be in a position to buy outside of the window. My theory is very loose and is just something I thought about. I doubt any other team would complain but wondered if anyone would have any grounds based on the line of thought I had? The buying and selling outside of the window might have more about it though. The Prem have alloud poopy to sell outside the window and I presume that includes other teams in the prem to buy outside the window. The Prem however dont control the FL or other foriegn leagues so would it not be up to those leagues to allow there members to buy outside of the window? Poopy being alloud to sell might meen jack siht if other leagues are not alloud to buy.
  16. I think the not playing for the new team only applys for the Prem unless the player is loaned back to Poopy for the remainder of the season. Outside of the prem I understood the player would be able to play as it doesnt create any advantage to a prem team.
  17. At home watching sky sports news
  18. 1 Herbi Taylor Thers only 1 Herbie Taylor 1 Herbie Taaaaaaaaaylor Theres only 1 Herbie Taylor Continue...
  19. You miss my point. Lets say we buy one of there players before Sunday and he is thrown into the JPT final and scores the winner or helps us into the last playoffs place. Not all teams in in League 1 would be in a position to take advantage of the PL's change of rules to suit so would they then have grounds to complain about our unfair advantage? Just because the PL bugger there rules about it doesnt mean all teams in the FL will be overly happy about the advantage some teams will be trying to take up. Also does the transfer window only allow teams to sell players? I thought outside the window you are not alloud to buy players just as much as your not alloud to sell players so how could we or anyone else actuallly buy one of poopys players? I understand the agree to buy at the end of the season and then poopy can use those agreements to show how much money will be available at the end of the season but actual transactions for other clubs in the FL are still out of bounds so the PL ruling doesnt actually make sence.
  20. If a FL club was to buy a player from poopy and play them would the rest of the FL teams have grounds for said team to be gaining an unfair advantage? There are only so many players that will be for sale and not many will want to take a step down so most of the league dont stand a chance to better there team. Why should the odd club have the privalige? Opening the door will cause the PL more problems than they have possibly thought of IMO.
  21. As the game will be live on Sky Sports 2 im guessing there will be a feed for it at Justins place or Cast of Sop or similar so you should be able to watch it live'ish like anyone else.
  22. For us to stand a chance we have to win all our remaining games IMO. Its all down to everyone elses results for us to stand a chance. Any of our results go the wrong way and it will be preparing for next season automatic promotion push and defending the JPT with a bit of luck.
  23. I think some of them should be forced to go so that they can see how a well run football club looks!
  24. Had a call from my ole man this evening who said he is still waiting for the tickets to turn up and he is in Southampton. Said that the ticket office gave some excuse about them being sent out alphabetically or something. Doesnt wash as a few friends names are either side of his in the alphabet and they both have their tickets. Not worried though as Ticket office have assured him if they dont turn up they will print some more at the ticket office. Possibley another fobbing off attempt but in any case they will probably be there in the next day or so.
