Yeah they havnt got away with anything today. If anything HMRC want things looked into more to make sure all is correct and the courts have granted there wish. If its a dodgy deal and the courts did nothing today then they would have defo got away with it. Just have to wait for the 12th/15th? to find out how dodgy if at all the whole admin/loans are.
-
Ah right, so an administrator will give the quote and if the creditor thinks its acceptable then he can apoint that administrator. Then the fees get paid at the end. I wasnt sure if that initial quote was to be paid before the admin gets started so that his back is covered because he is liable or something. Not really going anywhere with this point but was just trying to understand.
-
Didnt chainrai tell one lot to get stuffed cause he baulked at there 1mil+ quote? Just wondering how the admin process works for there bill. I take it they get paid by the people bringing them in if they cant get there money out of the assets or something?

no idea if anyone has seen this or not and havnt looked back across too many post so appologies if its already on here. News report outside the courts with an update as to whats happening inside. 3 main points but I cant remember what they were cause I was too busy laughing at the song in my head. I have a complaint. I complain that they are charging to provide a crap version of BBC comentary. I pay my Licence fee to be able to listen to BBC when I want but that option is being blocked. Instead we are expected to pay extra to hear BBC comentary and to top it off they cant even provide that service as well as the BBC can. They are tossers for taking the micky and we are Mugs for accepting it. Rant over

but if saints charged for a better service then the ex pats would in turn get a better service. Those who choose not to pay get nothing more than what the beeb supply mixed in with updates on other local teams. Everyones a winner baby. ;o) I would actually sign up if it was a premium service but its a below sub standard bbc service at the mo which doesnt make sence at all. Anyway, I appreciate the updates on here and have sky sports score centre keeping me pretty much upto date so im a fairly happy bannana. -

paying for a service the BBC provide for free just doesnt make sence to me. Add to that how many people complain about how carp it is yet oppo's comentary seems fine apart from the accent I cant believe so many people cough up there £4 per month. The more that refuse to sign up the more chance it will go back to being a bbc free service. If saints want to charge for a seervice they need to offer something better than is available for free IMO -
I think the biggest problem they have is they have probably reached there highest point already as they are. Ignoring all the debt and probable points deductions, they dont have the capacity or following to push onto the next level. The FA Cup was probably punching just a little above there weight barring in mind anyone has a chance in a knockout competition. I dont even think we have enough capacity to reach that next level as we currently stand. If we get to the prem I think we should look forward to mid table as our target with the occasional push for the final europe spaces. To get any further than that would need a bigger stadium and a bigger following to support a more pricey team. Poopy will need someone to come in, clear the debt, put up with dropping 1 or maybe 2 divisions build to get back to the prem and on top of that they will need to build a new stadium and attract at least twice as many supporters than they have ever had.

No argument from me. I dont mind a bit of light hearted banter but dont agree with the hatred some show. They cheated there way to be the highest league club in the south coast and they have been found out. Normal service to be resumed shortly which will make me far happier than watching them suffer.

Nothing wrong with a bit of glaoting to the blue few as it is very much deserved. What he did was act like a bit of a knob but with the best intentions

Different league so different rules so maybe not. However, FL seemed to makke things up as they went along with us so anything is possible. The basics are there in the FL but as Poopy didnt go into admin while in the FL it will be a new journy for them. I would guess that the FL will give them some kind of penalty in exchange for entering the league whilst in Admin or something along those lines. Would take the P if they are out of admin by then and join the FL with no penalty when other clubs that go in and out of admin still get punished.

My guess was, and a guess is all it is, is that the rule was created to protect the world outside of football but it also applys to the scum bags inside of football. I cant see HMRC being happy about it and I also guess that at some point they will try and challenge it some how. If I owned a local shop and ran up debts to other local business' and also owed a few grand to the tax man then paying other local business's off 1st would help keep them in business to hopefully stop them also going into admin. If the tax man was 1st to be paid all the time then more company's would go to the wall due to tax which could mess things up even more. The football world should IMO be treated differently or at least the upper levels of the football world. Lower league teams would be in much the same situation as local company's. But teams at the top should at least be in the same boat as the tax man. How that could be achieved is anyones guess though. How do you distinguish between a club at the top that doesnt need the money as much as a club at the bottom? How could it be sorted so that a club at the bottom comes before the Tax man? It looks like it sucks now but the alternative seems like a huge mess.
-
Doesnt look like its a league ruling. The truth of it is the taxman has been pushed around by football clubs for years and is now pushing back. Never happy about clubs' habit of using it as an interest-free overdraft, HMRC lost its "preferred creditor" status with the introduction of the 2002 Enterprise Act. http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts2002/ukpga_20020040_en_1 Was probably set up to protect business that depend on debts to be paid outside the world of football but inside the world of football it seems more backward that poopy itself.

I thought his loan to Al Mirage was secured against the 90% shareholding and when the repayments lapsed he took the 90%. He since then wrote off 10 mil in exchange for FP and as that is a seperate entity to the football club he then became a creditor. Before then he was just a 90% shareholder for the football club and not a creditor. Thats only what I thought however which is just based on what I read here and there. The actual business decissions that get or got them into there state I would have thought would have been all above board so Admin wont be contested. But looking at it from our point of view its still hard to understand how they can royally shaft anyone and everyone and still manage to wriggle out of it.

Like Wes has said above, I wonder if Chainrai's move to become a creditor whilst the WUO was already in full swing is entirly legit? Palace's owner was already a creditor when the WUP was served and he moved to put them into admin before the deadline day. Does it make a difference that Chainrai was not a creditor when there 1st date in court happened? It just seems liek a loop hole that is too simple to be there. If I were to own a business and get myself in the crap and be faced with a WUO it seems all I would have to do is sell myself part of the business or an asset from the business, fail to pay myself and that puts me as a creditor that can put my business into admin before it gets liquidated. I know that is incredibally simplistic but it seems thats what has been done down the road and with no word from the courts it seems like its OK to do?

on the plus side we have more home games left than away games which means a majority of playing on crap pitches is behind us. Isnt the standard to look to win your home games and get a draw away? on that basis we may look like we are behind but if we win most of our home games we could be right back in the thick of it. should have been 3 points but at least it wasnt 0
-
I agree but also agree with the previous point. We make a meal out of playing on dodgy pitches but then Leeds, Charlton and Norwich all have to play on the same pitches at some point or another and they manage to pick up more points than not. Its something that we are going to have to improve on next season if we cant make it out of this league this season.
-
Solent is BBC which I pay my licence for so should be free. Why people continue to pay for it is beyond me. If Saints want to charge for a service they should be providing said service IMO.
-
Blimey did you just have a glass half full moment Alps? lol
-
I agree with you there. Mind you if this game is all about hoofball he should fit right in. Just need Lallana, Puncheon and Barnard to run onto the flick ons that Lambert will send on from Wootons Hoofs! Well sounds about right in theory anyway

I know what your saying but I would have thought for an ageing player to come on a short contract he would have wanted more wonga. He probably got a longer contract on a lower wage and with pay cuts included should we get relegated. He is one of the few older players that managed to keep his place in the squad when other so called CCC players were shown the door asap. I dont rate him highly but think there may have been more to getting him here than someones rash decissions.
-
at a time when we were obviously skint with a team full of kids and no leadership, we bring in an experienced former captain from a mid table CCC team on a long contract but probably fairly low wages and you have a dig at Lowe. Genius lol
-
I think Antonio is a bit like K Jones in that he flatters to decieve but will come good eventually. bags of pace and somehow ends up in the right place at the right time but doesnt look like he knows he should be there. Should come good in time though

made a few hospital tackles in my time. Even did one playing badminton once which wasnt in the sport of the game so I was told at the time. Was kept out of the team though due to not being able to catch up with the ball to kick it so hospital tackles were all I had. lol

which sucks ass IMO
