we dont need a football man now they help choose the player that is done! we now need a hard nosed businessman to make sure we are not screwed and you wont get better than Cortese! Why do we just think we should pay what they want in the way they want it paid? If any of us was buying a house would we do that? On any deal you know how far you can go and when to walk away!

I for one am glad we dont bend over on deals and we always seek what is best and good value! That is a sign of a well run business (not over yet though no one else has accepted to pay all the money in 1 year)

Very true he saw the way football was going with SKY etc early and helped improve our academy with good technical coaching he also saw no option but to build a stadium (which also heavily contained our spend) . Look at the opposite at Poopey no spend on a stadium or youth and therefore no legacy with all monies blown on overpaid journeymen and has beens. A sell on clause means you leave all the negotating to the owner and get 30% of what they agree Owning a 30% share is very different if for instance there were 100 shares then you can agree to buy the 70 shares owned by Bologna at a price per share of say £10 but would still need a separate deal with Penerol for their 30 shares and they may only sell theirs at £15 a share (thay may seek a higher or lower price per share) We may of course be able to buy them out based on some money now and sell off clause going forward. So quite a complicated deal to negotiate more so if you add in the agents fees that bologna want us to pay as they want there 15m Euros nett.
