You are right but it does mean they can keep a large number of premiership players when others cant and in theory that should give them an advantage

I dont think Messi was at our academy or did i miss him when he was there! -
When you see the level of the paracute payments to the likes of POOPEY it makes our and Readings promotion even more of an achievement than they were, given the relative disadvantage we started with compared to 6 key competitors (ignoring Portsmouth as the 7th of course)

If it had not been for Bale being Welsh then surely he would have made this squad to based on class and form compared to those in there. What a credit these three have been to our academy! -

No there are only 8 to 10 teams we cannot yet compete with assuming we make a few good signings to strengthen! However we should be able to at least compete with Reading Hammers or Blackpool QPR Swansea Norwich Wigan Stoke Fulham West Brom Maybe Sunderland Aston villa Unlikely Manu Manc Arsenal Spurs Newcastle Liverpool Everton So am hoping for a solid mid table 10 to 13 place as a good consolidation position to kick on from -
This Chaplow was out Puncheon hadnt made up our midfield was string bare and if we had further injuries and suspensions we could have blown promotion. Good contingency planning I think and the fact we didnt use him doesnt make it a bad signing. At thew same time we get to asses a possible prospect and he gets a bit more experience than he was getting at Spurs A win win all around I think

It was a correct statement given the blue few are hardly enough to mention! -
Not really want ting to support Lowe however in this instance I can't really see what else he could have done! I think DJ was put on garden leave on full pay! that is actually quite normal for these circumstances! Not sure that he therefore had any grounds for legal action! These are always difficult decisons to take when someone has a court case outstanding and are subject to critiscism whatever you do! Particulalry given the effects on our form at the time as has been mentioned by others above! Having said all of that he has my congratulations for getting Wednesday up ahead of United!

errr we were expecting a mid table consolidation and achieved an automatic promotion! so how was that almost our undoing?

This! We have always been twinned given our years of lack of resources and ability to survive at the top without becoming yo yo clubs! Hope they climb the league like we did! A good family club like ours with genuine supporters! -
We should certainly have more flair the more the better!

After the event this is the best prediction by far! Can't go to wrong with bookies (those that go wrong to often are not around to take any more bets unlike newspaper reporters)
-
So the prediction was one better than Daleks 17th?
-
OK so moaning that we might blow it and not go up is no longer possible, so lets start to worry about something else! Nigel confirmed it is not his intention to go anywhere for a few years and that we must keep winning to keep his job (nothing new there this is football) Now enjoy the day promotions like this do not come every day (trust me I know in over 40 years supporting the Saints) so enjoy it while it is here and now!

He is negotiating his new deal
