I'm regretting the post already

Since when have we been known as the Reds? This chant was doing the rounds quite a lot yesterday, have I missed something as I thought we were the Saints? Are Newcastle known as the blacks? Apologies if this post has been dealt with before (so feel free to abuse me in the way only this forum knows) but I can't see why we're calling ourselves this when we've got a well established and distinctive nickname that goes right back to our heritage.

Based on what I witnessed yesterday Llallana, whilst skilfull and a huge talent for the future, is too lightweight. He needs to build his strength as he was knocked off the ball too easily yesterday. Until then he should stay put. Certainly not the SPL - thats an absolute joke of a league.

I've been a fan since I was 12 but have never been a regular attender. A home game is a 200 mile round trip, I work long hours during the week and have a young family so being an "uber fan" isn't really an option. This however doesn't mean I'm not a true fan - our results dictate my mood for the rest of the weekend and even at 4-0 up last weekend I still didn't feel comfortable. All those ****s who go on about 50k at wembley and less than 20k at SMS should drag their yokel heads out of their backsides and realise that for some of us we simply can't go every week. And yes I did try and get tickets for wembley but couldn't - that must make me a truly dreadful fan of the club! Oh yes, I will be at SMS tomorrow with my son for his first game.

I wouldn't want AP to go as I think he's done a great job and is a talented manager - however one observation is that we came down with Norwich, had a similar start to the season but they are 18 pts ahead of us (excluding the deduction). Surely they should be our yardstick in which case means we have under performed - but no reason to get rid of him. We have the best resources in the league so expectations are high but as anyone who manages a team of people will know, it doesn't matter how good they are team spirit counts for a lot and with so many new faces in two separate time periods it would have been a challenge to build this quickly enough to maintain consistency. (apologies for lack of comma's etc).

The boos for NC were loud and clear and I don't think Sky made a fuss of it at all - probably got the right amount of comment given the distinct difference from the response ML received. Not clever though.

I think they'll give us a hiding - very, very good team and we seem to be genetically unable to defend. A draw would be an amazing result.

Agree - not a clever footballer. Gets into good positions but ****s it up - reminds me of bwp. Missing one sitter is just about forgivable but missing two or three isn't.

The atmosphere will give us two early goals but then the quality of some of their players will see them come back as we get knackered - and lets face it our defence is still pretty woeful. 2-4

You miserable, dull, forgetful bunch - success breads success. We won yesterday even though we played badly, isn't that what they say about good teams?? Not much more than six months ago we had just been relegated and faced financial ruin. Now we are signing whoever we want, look as though we have a wembley final to go to plus the mouth watering prospect of a home tie against our poor neighbours. Get over yourselves and just try and enjoy being a saints fan for once!

FFS - jim rosenthal almost shot his load when he saw our draw, anyone who knows anything about football will appreciate the excitement this game will create. Ridiculous idea - won't work, not sure it ever does. How many successful managers of good teams have achieved that with a DoF? Ferguson? Wenge? Morinho? O'Neil? No, because it's b0ll0cks. Pardew has far too much credibility and experience to need someone put in above him.

We're a quality club with great facilities Financially sound Great team morale Good support every week Winning lots and scoring plenty Very good chance we can make the play offs I'm not sure he could cut it in the Championship anyway otherwise he would have moved up long ago. I think the summer will be quite a telling time for players moving if we don't get promoted. Harding and Lallana would be top of a lot of clubs lists I would have thought.
