Great appointment, spot on - plenty of valuable experience. Unsurprisingly the deluded on this forum aren't happy but I'm not sure they ever would be. If we can get some decent players in we should have a good season. Also huge relief its not Tony Adams.

As much as I want this to happen, its beginning to lok like a **** show. Lynams frequent use of this board is odd and perhaps smacks of a desperate man under pressure. The comment about MLT seeming deflated in an interview this morning is also worrying - maybe he's been sold a pup. However I would be willing to eat anyones hat if it all comes together.

I'm inclined to agree - bit odd that the points deduction became such an issue so late on when it's been up there in lights since April. Maybe they realised they couldn't see it through and need to walk away with grace. MLT has also been quiet recently.

MLT sounded positive and confident. If they've received new documents to look at then things must have progressed which is all good. Also if he's back in Guernsey having dinner with Jeff Stelling things can't be that stressful for the chairman in waiting!

I can't believe its the 10 pt issue thats suddenly appeared to prevent the take over - its not exactly been a hidden matter!! Getting MLT on board makes business sense. Even as a lifelong saints fan I would want the public approval of someone like him to lead my bid - bit like using Beckham in our bid for the 2018 world cup. Given his passion for the club I'm sure he wouldn't want to associate himself with a poor consortium. Lets have a bit of faith for once.
