  1. Blue shirts, white shorts, red socks - accompanied by an invasive sense of self loathing and geographical inferiority?
  2. Young, hungry and guaranteed to improve!
  3. "Oh mate..." Perpetually thick as mince our Chazza. Strip away the stardust and Armani and you are left with a dinlo hod-carrier from Hungerford.
  4. Obafemi's dip in form has coincided with the reopening following refurbishment of the drive-in KFC in Swansea, he's only a serious chip pan fire away from a golden boot next season.
  5. Spot on! Their current win ratio is world class.
  6. Think Ward-Prowse is currently our joint top scorer in the league with Adams. Very, very important player for us.
  7. This news should allow Saints to give Shane Long another contract extension.
  8. Great news! Clearly Lyon are one of the clubs being purchased by Dragan over the summer for the SR Portfolio as a feeder club for Saints. A real show of intent.
  9. Hopefully they'll bring back the 'all aboard the Ralph train' animation. Picking up Tete at Donetsk station and spiriting him across Europe to safety whilst Russian forces close in, like the opening credits of Dad's Army.
  10. Spot on, a bit like Scholes in his ability to read the game, the epitome of a pocket battleship or midfield general. 31 and slowing down when he joined Saints so he let the ball do the extra work and developed Stevie Williams to provide the extra steel. Glad I got to see him in the flesh at pitch level in the confines of the Dell
  11. George Best in terms of pure footballing ability, God given. As others have said Bale fits in the next tier, which includes Ball and Keegan, who were both machines, incredible craftsmen. When Gascoine and Le Tissier were both in their pomp I thought MLT the better player in terms of natural ability and flair, and still do.
  12. Nonsense, Budgie will self-motivate with ten motivational press ups, some squat thrusts, and a hang from the banister for half an hour to come up to the commanding height of five foot eight.
  13. In my time, I think I'd have Artur Boruc and Paul Jones in the first 11 before Forster, and possibly the Terry Gennoe V.1 that existed prior to the 1979 League Cup Final.
  14. Guaranteed to be the biggest prick in the history of the show.
  15. Strongest side possible please Ralph, shit or bust and we have a chance for a 1-0 or 2-1 result. Saints supporters are easy, best 11 and 100% and they’ll be no complaints before Songs of Praise.
  16. I think Ralph was managing the German side in that game.
  17. In the oft copied sage words of Big Dave, the next goal is crucial Adam…
  18. It’s why he’s off to Man U after we win the FA Cup.
  19. Fair play to Ralph, fancied for the Man U and Spurs jobs and still able to invent a time machine!
  20. Villa 0 Saints 2 (JWP, Adams) Ings injured first half.
  21. My view for some time is for the club to purchase the gas holders and put the away end on top of these. That way when Saints are in the ascendancy we can effectively inflate the away fans and subsequently deflate when up against it. I would think Sir Norman Foster would fancy this brief having lost out on turning the Vospers site into a version of Manhattan previously.
  22. A couple of points in terms of performance last night. Like many others I want us to go all out to win the cup this season so seeing the line up was a worry, however what transpired was a remarkable team effort both in terms of unity and energy, and this is what wore West Ham down. Earlier this season West Ham would have bullied Saints out of this match, last night they were frustrated and should have lost three or four nil. Watching Adam Armstrong, the poor sod needs games, was off the pace and a foot too short in terms of out-jumping the West Ham defence but giving it 110%, like a red and white duracell bunny. If you watch videos of the old McMenemy sides when we was fab in the 80s (the Big Match on ITV HUb is good for this) what hits you, despite the vintage, is the unity and energy - Steve Williams said as much in the interview posted on here a few weeks ago. There was a relentlessness and lack of respect about those brilliant teams, a bit of a swagger, a fuck you attitude, and incredibly we are seeing that right now.
  23. Special squad this, loving it! GTFI!
  24. Bollocks to the reserve, on recent form it's clearly going to be top 7 and FA Cup winners. Liverpool in the final with Broja and Che running Virgil ragged and Salisu looking like a Klippity bargain at £100M - COYR!
