His Mum reckons he went through his cycling proficiency test without any advisories first time.

To think that people were shitting themselves it was going to be Steve McLaren 😂
-
Had to check three times and still spelt his name wrong. Temu January sale for Sport Republic, but the Dream Academy thing is particularly hilarious.
-
Tonda’s right hand man appointed - Ben Garner, former right hand man to Ian Holloway. Joins from the International Dreams Academy. https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/garner-appointed-mens-first-team-assistant-coach?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=garner-appointed-assistant&utm_term=news&utm_content=link&fbclid=IwZnRzaAPHUYVleHRuA2FlbQExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR7oCZ80yv0q6O1FRI5iW6ERf5DwnjEB1sVsMQCGjDBEBFrizRVZHnBEAqnZQQ_aem_T_TzkQUiK8-DX6ppm6rrQw

Boro Bastards 2 - Saints Simps 0. We whimper on under Tonka…
-
Appointing the likes of Carrick, OGS (who apparently fancied the job) or Viera would immediately have signified an appropriate and necessary change of direction. No more pound shop prima donnas with a few mediocre seasons in the prem calling the shots. The idiot board clearly thought bringing in Romeu as a temp would provide this effect for Tonka.
-
Would be right on brand if he was sacked on February 1st.
-
Indeed. But not likely by Gav as not sure he knew much about it.
-
Ramsdale looked like a competent high-level keeper despite playing behind that defence in the league above. Bazunu wasn’t good enough in 2022 and not good enough now.
-
I think that a majority of fans were surprised and upbeat after the run of good results, but following Still’s sacking would have preferred a football manager rather than yet another work experience project. The reason why Sport Republic can’t win is because they don’t learn.
-
Think Gavin knew that Danny Peretz was watching on from directors box today. Competition is always a good thing.
-
1 and 2. Most likely.

This is the crux with Sport Republic, they get the timing completely wrong, every fucking time, whilst the majority of fans call it. Sacking Hassenhutl for Jones (even though the likes of Dyche were interviewed), sacking Jones post transfer window and appointing Selles when there was a realistic chance of recovery. Appointing Martin with the nucleus of an established premier league club (when we were attractive to capable managers), then retaining Martin after an unconvincing promotion. Sacking Martin too late in the Premier League with much damage done and replacing him with a temp. Appointing Still when club stock was high (ie attractive to a number of decent managers, say Cooper). Sacking Still too late and replacing with an even less experienced coach. Player recruitment has followed the same sporadic and disorganised pattern. Every decision that requires strategic timing is a failure for this group. It appears endemic and terminal.

Enough material for an entire conference…
-
Possible, with Sport Republic Russian roulette.

I’ve had a horrible feeling last few games that this will be the likely route the cretins take from here. To them its the ‘middle way’ keeping Tonka in place without admitting they’ve fucked up again’. Fully expecting the backroom staff to be overpaid, unemployable elsewhere and underwhelming. Maybe the German equivalent of Ian Branfoot - sure these cunts can find him.
-
Stranger Things has a much more realistic plot and more believable characters. I’d have Vecna over Ankerson anyday in terms of 4-4-2 and a robust defence.

Was thinking about this following the Oxford game. We have a team chock full of bang average players getting very large pay packets for these league - some picking up circa £40-50k a week - well over £2m a year apiece. Clear they feel superior to most of the sides we face, the managers Sport Republic choose to pander to them, and worst of all our support. This is why Solak’s last throw of the dice should have seen Ankerson, Spors and Co exorcised from the club and a credible respected manager put in place to stop the rot, tell some hard truths about ability, and put an enema through these poundshop prima donnas!
-
Thank fuck for that!
-
Agree, I would love it if he signed for Birmingham.
-
Obviously, every appointment they have made has been about retaining control, including the sacking of Hassenhutl in 2022.

Canary in the coalmine is having a new goalkeeper starting against Boro on January 4th. Loan or permanent. The overpaid cretins have had months to see and sort this.
