So do I…

Honest reflection on that list, the only managers that I felt were uninspiring or poor choices at time of appointment were Merrington, Jones, and Redknapp. Since Puel only Hassenhutl has seemed a ‘good’ fit before a ball was kicked and Hughes was probably what we needed at that point in terms of Hobson’s choice post donkey. Big drop off since Sport Republic came on the scene.

Indeed, think a lot of people would in that situation if they could afford it. Maybe he’ll rule himself out of speculation over the next week.

Players should all do a walk of shame to the funeral march whilst self flagellating with a soggy copy of the Goldmine Effect.

Unfortunately, looks like Still en route after Rohl said ‘wait and see’ for the second time. You don’t walk out of a big CV job in football at 32 without something concrete lined up. Still looks polar opposite of what we need right now, on various levels. Who the fuck is advising Sport Republic. If the idea is to unveil him straight after Arsenal, the first new metric to hit the Board will likely be a significant season ticket renewal drop off. A good many fans have had enough of paying good money to watch work experience managers turn SFC into a non competitive sports day.

Which is number one on the tick list.

Collective RPM of the club fluffers on here approaching Nathan Jones level this morning.

Spot on!

Think it was the medical staff kicking off, so a bit like A&E on a Friday evening.

Very well done Palace, enjoyed that! Basically did what we did to City last week, but with better players and manager. Good to see the FA cup out of the hands of the franchises for a year. Looking back, our cup win in 1976 genuinely galvanised the city and provided a decade of positive momentum for Saints, probably our greatest decade as a football club. Like some others have said above, clubs like us should always take the domestic cup competitions seriously, or even prioritise - no better catalyst to get above station and annoy the fuck out of the entitled minority and their pet media.
-
And big Dave Merrington! Saints are historically a ginger sanctuary club.

2024 - 7th (Haise) 2023 - 2nd (Haise) 1 point off PSG as champions 2022 - 7th (Haise) 2021 - 7th (Haise) 2020 - 2nd (Montanier / Haise) 7th last year saw Franck Haise off to Nice (currently 4th), Will Still's RC Lens are 9th in Ligue 1 (a league of 18) with a game to go and looks like their final position.

Didn't help with Cortese insisting that the gold-plated lightswitches and coat hooks were all a foot lower than normal, and that there was an in-house dry-cleaners.

Berwick Rangers might be a tad ambitious. Hopefully it's Leicester.
-
They had the shock of their scouse lives and a proper battering all over London that day.

If he was he’d be playing for Goztepe!

Dugout Pioneers vs Floodlight Pioneers. Always disliked them since Bailey and Heath, and latterly for poaching and ruining Ronald. I hope we completely piss on their parade - Toffos 0 Saints 2 and Moyes with a face like a ransacked cottage is the predictione.

Already in negotiations:

Fucking hell, Hoddle was right after all, literally paying for the sins of a previous life (the SFC birthright).

Sargent and Sainz from Norwich will be on the radar, and Johansson (Stoke) should be approached even before Ramsdale's inevitable move is lined up. Goodrham (Oxford). Chakvetadze (Boro), Tanganga (Millwall), should all be on the radar if we are looking to recruit the best in our league. If Rohl comes in, he may fancy Gassama from Sheff Weds, also. Hopefully it's going to be a busy summer.
