If it is the Asian gentleman - well, I'm impressed! It'll be good to have a good looking owner for a change

Who will appoint the CEO - who will be on the interview panel?

Who will run the club? Who will choose the manager? All 1000 of you?

I thought, months ago, that Jackson's Farm was significant in somebody's plans. It still wouldn't surprise me.

Generally it's only if someone has been a director of a company trading whilst insolvent. But this is interesting: http://www.humphreys.co.uk/articles/directors_duties_1.htm Especially this bit: Investors and the public need to be protected from rogue directors whose incompetence has contributed to business failures. And this: Even directors who have acted honestly may be accused of failing in their collective responsibility for the way in which the company has been run.

I think it's morally reprehensible to run a company into administration just to pick it up again on the cheap. What about the 'small' suppliers? Some of these people may well go out of business. Is it legal to do this? If not, the law needs to be changed and soon.

If this rumour proves to be true then I seriously worry for RL's mental state - I really do. The man's deluded.

Anil Ambani. Take the last two letters of his first name and the first two letters of his second name, muddle them up and you get......... LIMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do I win? -

yes you're right. I just happened to be looking at the Sunday Times Rich List and picked up on Derry's 'clue' about looking east. Maybe it's one / both of the Iranian brothers that have been mentioned before :smt102 -

You tease, Derry! It would be lovely if it was this guy: Indian steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal, and family, are top again with £10.8bn, down a huge 61% from 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8018693.stm -

Is this Ladysaint? Because, if so, I do believe that she was also one of the ones who suggested the idea of giving tickets away yesterday. What a great woman!

I do wish people would stop using the term 'pikey'. I think it's an offensive term to use.

Exactly my point

It would be interesting to see the FL's Standing Orders (if they have any). Most organisations require a Declaration of Interest to be declared BEFORE pertinent discussions take place, not just for a vote.

It's all going t*ts up for old Rupert
bridge too far replied to Armitage Shanks's topic in The Saints
I think you've read that wrong - RL is the chairman. It's badly written - there should be a semi-colon after the job title. With Rupert I guess it should be a colon I believe one of the other directors is from Carphone Warehouse. Didn't he do something dodgy with his shares in CPW as collateral (allegedly)? I see Lord Marland is also a director -

Shut up Stu - don't demean the very hard work that Derry & Co are doing. -
