I'm sure we had a transfer committee when Strachan was in charge too. I seem to recall him saying that David Prutton was the one signing that the whole committee agreed upon. Goes to show that even the whole committee can be wrong sometimes.

Seemed pretty upbeat in his interview on the OS, earlier this week. Doesn't read as though it's come from a player wanting to do the off...
Anyone gonna be in the vicinity of the station to confirm it's him? If so, check to see if he's wearing a smart looking suit as he might be off to an interview.
Whoever it is, I wish we'd hurry and get them in. Insipid performance yesterday; the players need to know that the new man is in and they need to impress others loans and then, in January, new signings will replace them.
...whether it'll not be a case of being good enough to be promoted from this division but more whether we're good enough to stay in it, if we don't sort this managerial situation out and fast!
Tony Pulis?! Was linked before and fits with the (somewhat bizarre) rumour of applications from Premier League managers. He also seems to be the only person who seems to be able to move his son on from a club...
EDIT - also fits with the poster who speculated the chosen one had a 5 letter name.
If NC is truly serious about taking his time to find the right man, how would we feel about Wilkins being in the job for the season and re-evaluating his performance and the situation re: other managers availability, at the end of the season...?

Interesting piece by Paul Fletcher about AP's sacking. [Apologies if posted before but haven't had the chance to look through all the pages]
In a way it's worked because clubs have jettisoned players - think Man City with Robinho etc - but not in the way lower league clubs hoped. We were all hoping for stacks of decent Premier League cast offs to be made available for loan. Instead, the players have been shifted permanently elsewhere.
Maybe EITHER party could activate the deal, which I believe could've been the case with Michail Antonio & Reading. If so, please shoot whoever inserted that clause.
Not doubting you fella, but it seems bizarre that AP knew so much about Guly in his comments before the Brizzle game. Or maybe he was being sarcastic...
I agree, the fans do need some clarity from Cortese to ensure they at least stay behind the team. Banal statements from that Jordan Sibley, who looks like he only left school yesterday, are now insufficient.
