Come on Saints!!! Too much Albion pressure for my liking. Cheating effing Kishishishishishishishev!!
-
Good work Kelv! Now don't waste this spot of luck/great goalkeeping Saints! Make one of our chances count...
-
Dear Mr Lambert. A good time to break your recent goal drought - especially from open play - would be NOW!!!
-
There, much better...
-
Would be a fantastic signing - a real signal of intent and definitely someone who can perform at CCC level. Get it done Mr Cortese!

Must win game: will bring the gap between us ever closer + I live in Shoreham so my life was hell last year.

LB - you would seem to know plenty about what's going on at the mo. Any news on replacements for JP or other incomings? NA seems to hint at new loan & permanent signings (in Jan) - any likely before Brighton?

The entirely speculative 'replacements for Puncheon' thread

Remember him and Ashley Young murdering us when we were in the Championship. Beat us 3-0 at SMS IIRC. -
What about Febian Brandy - has he signed for anyone? Would be good if it were him!

Jamal Campbell-Ryce would do a good job. Fast and always does well against us. -
Chaplow - signed a 2 and a half year deal - OFFICIAL

Excellent buy for £50k, although I wonder if that's the final part of the fee, as we may well have paid a loan fee (& then a loan extension fee) to keep him for the 3 months until January. Not many 25 year olds with a season of Premier League football behind them go for £50k! -
Puncheon joins Millwall on loan - OS

Disappointed he's gone TBO, as he does have tremendous potential but shows it all to infrequently. If he has also got an attitude problem then he was never going to fit in with NA's whole team mantra. I get the sense that, while NA sees the team being key to everything, AP may have been willing to massage egos a little more to get performances out of players. Think we really need some cover before the loan deadline, to tide us over until January, when we can make more permanent signings. AOC is very young, Holmes is injury prone, Dickson is a full-back really and Lallana does pick up the odd knock now and again. -
Tell them to knock off the £1m we gave them for Alan McLoughlin, as part of the deal, and for £1m we'll call it quits. We should've gone to trading standards over McLoughlin.

Do behave. Give me time to concentrate on this week's depression before I have to start to think about next week's... That said, beat Peterborough and Brighton and we'll back on track.

Carlisle 3 - 2 Saints - post match reaction.

Missed opportunity to cement our place in the play offs. Despite the fact that those that went are reporting that it was such a poor performance, I can't help thinking it always happens to us when you have to travel such a long distance for 90 minutes work (look what happened to Brighton at Hartlepool too). I could honestly see this happening today, regardless of form or recent performances. What I still think we'll regret more, if things don't go our way by the end of the season, is the home performance against Rochdale, which should always be a win. -
How about a sweepstake on when Rickie will score his next goal from open play?! Unthinkable that the guy who couldn't stop scoring last year has only got 1 goal from open play this year. Just read today's match report on the OS and, apart from appearing in the team listing, his name isn't even mentioned! That's the most worrying thing for me; it doesn't sound like he's even coming close to scoring from open play...

Telling that my main Wotton memory was from the Burnley relegation game - fans streaming onto the pitch as he lay there covered in blood from a head injury with Mark Wotte shooing people away! Total commitment but no recollections of moments of footballing skill...

Bignall's loan has ended
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I figured it was to cover for Connolly's injury and any absence Barnard might have had following's his infamous night's work but, as it turned out, he didn't miss any games. -

Agreed. Definitely need a different option to Barney & Lambo. -
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2178493,00.html Just had a team news text (from Orange rather than the official text service), which says Bignall's loan has come to an end. On checking the original story on the OS (above), it says it was due to expire yesterday, so it seems as if it's probably true (although they've been known to be wrong before!). Shame, if it has come to an end, as he offered us a pacy option from the bench. Would've liked to have kept him and Chaplow really.
-
Great news. Hopefully, a regular run of games will allow Chappers to re-produce the form he's showed in previous seasons and we will sign him on permanently in January.
-
The final of the 'who can look more gormless' competition was declared a draw...
-
Any further news on whether Chappers is going to be staying? Nothing on OS but I guess they won't comment until the paperwork NA spoke of has been sorted.
-
Excellent news. Really hope it's an extended loan with a permanent deal in Jan (pretty much what Oxford have done taking Josh Payne from Doncaster). Reading Chapper's comments in the programme, last week, it's bloody obvious he wants to stay so hopefully the paperwork will be sorted quickly.
