  1. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6667880,00.html His comments when he left touched a raw nerve with many but we could do far worse than bring him back...
  2. Mickey Fialka. The Liebherr's took his club away from him and now he's determined to make them pay (the full fare)...
  3. Has he actually spoken to us, though, as someone else hinted he might have done? Is this something which is likely to happen?
  4. Played in an excellent ball for Guly who shot when, if he'd spotted Chambo, could've meant us going one up. Great vision and execution but needs to happen more often during the course of a game.
  5. The Doncaster bid is an interesting one. I guess most would assume that the bid would be for Brian Stock but a mate of mine from Sheffield tells me that it might have been for Billy Sharp, who was managed at S****horpe by a certain Nigel Adkins...
  6. Why send him to Charlton? What if their new manager, when they get one, doesn't want him?
  7. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...658739,00.html Permission denied, I hope, if Sky's story is true. Or we'll take Gerrard or Rooney in part-ex.
  8. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_6658739,00.html Permission denied, I hope, if Sky's story is true. Or we'll take Gerrard or Rooney in part-ex.
  9. Just 6? FFS. Everybody out. Actually, brilliant result. Absolutely brilliant. Will be there on Saturday vs Notts Co. - more please?
  10. Swansea are trying to complete a permanent deal for Luke Moore of West Brom, according to Sky Sports, so maybe we've beaten them to Priskin or they've turned their attention to someone else?
  11. Took my boy at nearly 3 to his first game, which was the final home game of the 08/09 season, when we were relegated by Burnley. Not an auspicious start, obviously, but I wanted him to go to at least 1 Saints match in case we went bust and didn't 'make it'... Happily, he still goes now - aged 4 1/2 - and really loves it. Hopefully, a future season ticket holder in the making!
  12. Chaplow would be a big miss. Hopefully the rumour that a permanent deal is a done deal (as per the PNE chairman) is true as it would be a shame if he's already played his last game for us. Getting back to Lambo. Yes Rickie, it has been horrible. Permission granted to return to goal machine status.
  13. Hull have agreed deals for Aaron McLean and Matty Fryatt. Forest are signing a US international. Deals are being done in readiness for 1st Jan so teams can have their new signings available for as long as possible over the remainder of the season. Hopefully, NA and NC have used the quiet time we've had match-wise to set up some deals so our squad is as strong as it can be, as soon as possible.
  14. This. NA hasn't had a transfer window to improve the team so let's who, if anyone he wants to bring in, and if he's given the backing to do so.
  15. Is it because his brother was here for a while?
  16. Maybe that's the key point - at this level. Maybe neither player wants to be at this level having been at top 4 Prem clubs albeit with minimal success. Come February, after clubs have done their transfer window business, these 2 might be more willing to get their careers going again in League 1.
  17. All this talk about Chamberlain is great but where are Brookings Babes? I was expecting to see some East End luvlies...
  18. Did well at this level last year. Quite young too but isn't he in their first team at the mo?
  19. Next they'll want to trying eating here too!
  20. Puncheon hat-trick?
  21. It's no coincidence that Hammond's upturn in form came when he was partnering Chaplow in midfield. Chaplow has reasonable pace which means Deano isn't required to be so mobile and allows him to play in the holding role to try to direct the play a little. With Morgan & Hammond, we have two players who want to do the same thing and it doesn't work as well. Sometimes players just function better alongside certain players - Beattie and Ormerod were a prime example.
  22. Not quite sure any of the players turned up today...
  23. We've lost the unpredictability and pace both Papa and Antonio gave us last year and it's a big loss. Their pace alone would often mean defences wouldn't keep a high line, which had the added bonus of giving us space in front of the back four. Now, there's f**k all chance of Rickie beating anyone for pace so they can squeeze the play making it difficult for us to create anything. Big changes required in January. Keep Chaplow for starters to give energy to the midfield then spend on 2 strikers and at least one winger. Any shrapnel left and a centre half wouldn't go amiss either.
