  1. Maybe the bids are for Ward and Stock and Pericard is additional? Please. And don't stop their either. Barnard would be good too. And a right back. Or is that plain greedy?
  2. Hopefully it was Alan Pardew or Nicola Cortese who did it!!
  3. Brian Stock would be a phenomenal signing. Isn't he a Saints fan, by the way...?
  4. What makes you say that when Solent twitter seems to think it's virtually a done deal?
  5. Does this mean he's dodging the snow showers as we speak, to come for talks, Tac-tics?
  6. TBH, I think he could turn out to be a useful addition. When we had him first time, he was coming back from a long time out and we used him as a bits and pieces player, which wouldn't have allowed him to get proper match fitness or any semblance of consistency. When he played regularly at the Skates, alongside Todorov, when they were promoted, he did well and scored goals. I hope he does the same for us as the much maligned Fuller did for Stoke.
  7. If they can't make it, we should be awarded the match. Yeah.
  8. Sounds promising, if what you've been told is true!
  9. £250k would be a steal considering the no. of goals he's scored this year.
  10. There's a striker called Liam Henderson at Watford, who's young and fairly well thought of.
  11. I've a feeling Lee Barnard would be a decent shout. Would do well alongside Lambert and Southend need the cash.
  12. Secure Retirements?
  13. Penalty shootouts are great. At the moment. And not in playoff semi-finals.
  14. Legend! (for this evening)
  15. Isn't his younger brother Daryl an apprentice with us? If so, 'ave a word...
  16. Need to add Cosimo Sarli to that list. Then I'd vote!
  17. At 1 up, a clean sheet would guarantee the 3 points!
  18. Aside from home to the Skates, home to Ipswich. Would be nice to beat them and see Roy Keane sacked, especially after his antics when Utd sent us down.
  19. Is his "groin problem" mentioned in the Echo serious, a la the injury which kept him out for the best part of 2 years, or just a niggle (possibly brought on by playing regularly after such a long time out)? Anyone know?
  20. 90 mins to go until the loan window shuts - I guess it's not looking that likely that we'll sign someone unless Donnelly's trial has gone well enough to be turned into a loan.
  21. I put this on the other Trotman thread... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...on/8376305.stm Preston centre-half Mawene picked up an injury on Monday night. Maybe this was why Alan Irvine was watching us - to see how Trotman's getting on, with a view to having him back?
  22. As long as AP is bringing in players who are better in their position than who we have currently, then surely it's a good thing? Also allows him to try and ship out more youngsters, to gain experience, and those who aren't getting games, in the hope their 'new' club turns the move into a permanent one.
  23. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/preston/8376305.stm Preston centre-half Mawene picked up an injury on Monday night. Maybe this was why Alan Irvine was watching us - to see how Trotman's getting on, with a view to having him back?
  24. Exodus Geohaghon has joined Peterborough in the Championship today (presumably because ex-Kettering manager Mark Cooper has just taken over there). Be interesting to see how he gets on and whether we've missed out.
