Businesses 'unaware' of Saints takeover
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to Master Bates's topic in The Saints
Don't they read this forum??? -
Good. Hopefully a combative midfielder and a big centre-half!
-
Johnnie Jackson is off to Notts County according to the Mirror today.
-
Perhaps we could loan Pulis to P*mpey, they need a player or two...!
-
To be honest, the whole thing just smacked of typical upper class English arrogance from Lowe. They're both Dutch, they're bound to be able to work together. When it became obvious they both had their own agendas, we began to suffer even more. Surely, if you were to hire two coaches from abroad, you'd bring in people who'd worked together before not just chuck people together and expect them to work in perfect harmony. Particularly not when you pick a guy you considered for the manager's position previously as the assistant! FWIW I quite liked JP but we're so much better off without Lowe (goes without saying really!), JP and Wotte.

Home draw, always helpful. And another chance to have some fun at the expense of Mr Vodafone, Kevin Phillips.
-
Could the "very close on one other" be the signing before the weekend and the talks with 2 today be the "big signings" the Times journalist mentions in the webchat mentioned in another thread???
-
Great signing, if it all goes through. Hopefully, the first of a few as well. I trust he doesn't need a work permit?!?!
-
30 times less than Shevchenko cost Chelsea and Sheva has never even topped the League 1 scoring charts!!!
-
Oh bugger. F5 time, again, tomorrow!
-
Can't believe no-one has snapped up Danny Webber yet. Or David Noble. Both would do a good job in League 1.
-
New signing expected shortly (no idea who I migth add)
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to Chez's topic in The Saints
Yes, saw that in the report. Anyone have any idea who it might be and/or how soon it could be? I guess, given we're past midday, whoever it is won't be available for tomorrow now. -
Got a feeling we'll win 2-0. Rasiak and Paterson. COYR!!!!
-
If he's committed to staying (albeit because he doesn't have to take a pay cut) and he really gets himself motivated, this could be excellent news. Might also explain why there's been no real news about us trying to buy a striker.
-
That's what I took it to mean. Looks like another (probably fruitless) day of F5-ing!!
-
So if not Jaidi, then who?
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to Crouchie's Lawyer's topic in The Saints
Believe I read somewhere that he has a Ledley King-esque knee - might be why teams aren't champing at the bit to sign him. -
Saints miss out on Jaidi signing
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to Bartosz Bialkowski's topic in The Saints
My missus deals with immigration issues and she says the law has been considerably tightened recently, to the extent that if something doesn't match the criteria, it's automatically rejected. It could be we were expecting it to be refused, as he doesn't meet the appearance criteria, and we now have to go down the Panel route to justify why he should still get a permit. -
Saints miss out on Jaidi signing
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to Bartosz Bialkowski's topic in The Saints
Obviously, the delay we were all wondering about is due to the work permit issue. It could be that the appeal has already been submitted because, if terms were already agreed (some were saying as early as Tuesday), it could be news of the problem has only just leaked now. It would explain why he is still training with us and why the club has said nothing? -
I'm sure we can appeal, although it would help our cause more if we spelt Southampton "Manchester United" for the duration of the appeal.
-
Sauce?
-
Hopefully, we'll impose a deadline of this evening and say sign up or forget it. We need a centre half before Saturday and that means signing someone before midday tomorrow. I guess it's a positive he's still training with us but, as I said in my earlier post, I hope he's not just using us to get fit.
-
Must have been a great introduction at training: "Right, this is Radhi everyone. He's going to be signing for us as long as no-one else offers him more money before his pen hits the paper. Just like Stern, he's probably only using us to get fit until a CCC club comes in but make him feel at home anyway." Nothing like a bit of commitment from a potential new signing...

Would be just our luck. Rumour from a reliable source?
